Are eyelash extensions safe?
Yes. Eyelash extensions are completely safe as long as they are applied by a trained professional. Eyelash extensions are applied one synthetic lash to one natural lash at a time, and do not touch the skin. Improper lash application can cause damage and I highly recommend checking to make sure your lash stylist is a certified professional.
What are eyelash extensions made of?
I use Papillon Faux-mink synthetic lashes, made with soft, and lush fibers with a high gloss finish.
How long do eyelash extensions last?
Eyelash extensions can last indefinitely if you come in for fills every 3 to 4 weeks! When you come in for a touch up you should have about 70% of you lashes still attached. Fills are required as your extensions will shed with your natural lashes and it’s necessary to fill in the new growth. Or it takes about 2 months to let the eyelash extensions slowly fall out.
Are they waterproof?
Yes! After the first 24 hours eyelash extensions are waterproof! I use a great high quality glue that allows you to swim, shower, and exercise. They are resistant to pool chlorine, water and heat!
Can I wear mascara with my eyelash extensions?
Yes. Even though with eyelash extensions it appears you are wearing mascara, it is completely safe to apply mascara onto the tips of the extensions and they look even more amazing! But do not apply waterproof mascara to the extensions.
How do I care for my Eyelash Extensions?
Very minimal care! Avoid waterproof mascara, and oil based products (lotions, cleansers, make up removers). Oil based products will loosen the adhesive and shorten the life of your lash extensions. Avoid rubbing and pulling your lashes.
How can I prepare for my lash service?
Before you come to get your beautiful eyelash extensions please clean your lashes with an oil-free cleanser, and arrive with no eye make up on. If you wear contact lenses they just have to be removed while I apply they lashes. And bring music for yourself to enjoy as the service does take a couple hours : )
