This park is so fun! It is so relaxing to walk around the trail and just watch the birds all year round. There are a few pavilions where you can sit and enjoy a picnic too if you want. Love it here!
One of the best things about living in Layton is the Layton Commons Park. The Christmas light display is beautiful and free to enjoy, but also the "Layton-fest" each Friday with live entertainment and food truck roundup is my favorite! The amphitheater hosts some big name talent. We have the Vietnam War Memorial wall, and the park is beautiful with a winding creek and many domesticated ducks & geese. Also found at the park is the Surf & Swim indoor pool and the Layton Heritage Museum. I love our little city park! Dog-friendliness: Dogs are NOT allowed in the park.
Lights After Dark, in Layton Commons Park, is an annual event you don’t want to miss! It is a free event for the whole family! Everything in the parks north east side is decorated with countless lights, plus animated scenes through out the park. You can opt to drive through the park and/or walk through it. There is limited parking in the park and at the police station or Surf-n-Swim. I highly recommend this vibrant winter wonderland for the whole family! I also recommend the Lights after Dark for dates and friend get togethers. The pictures don’t do the park justice. During the rest of the year, Layton Commons park is a great place to let the kids play on the playground, swings, feed the beautiful ducks, picnic, renting a pavilion for events, going to Surf-n-Swim, walking and an ideal place for having professional photos taken. There are 2 baseball diamonds and a football field. Highly recommend!
This place is Amazing. My brother is a Veteran as is my husband and they are very proud of it. My brother was one of the Vets who petitioned Layton UT to bring in a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall like the one in DC. This one is safer to visit and closer to some than the Original Wall in DC. It it beautiful and I hope many go to pay tribute to their loved ones and lost friends there in Layton UT. Check out the photos.
Wonderful Christmas lights. It was great for my elderly mother who wants to go to the lights but can't walk through them. However, for those that want to walk through you can. It's really beautiful and free. We will come back.
Visited the Vietnam war memorial replica. It was very nice and well done. There was a small park nearby for the kids to play. There's also a small trail you can walk along the creek.
We make it a family tradition every year to go see the lights they've put up for Christmas. You can enjoy 99% of it from the comfort of your car, for those who get cold easily that makes it extra nice.
Beautiful park lots Christmas lights very jolly place.. must see if your in the area and time of Season..
Both my children love this park. I love all the shade and walking pathways, the memory wall in honor of veterans is beautiful, and the swimming place looks awesome haven’t tried it yet. All In all we love this park! Perfect for a hot summer day, or a nice stroll during any time of the year. Well kept and safe also with the police station present.
we love this park! it's beautiful and nice and you can feed the ducks no dogs allowed though probably because of the ducks
