A few months ago, We camped in our travel trailer, campsite is well kept, clean and organized. We went again this past weekend we also used the shuttle service for the river both visits and was very pleased staff is very helpful with questions we had, easy going and friendly.Rooms: 5/5
Beautiful park right on the river. The owners do a good job keeping it clean and they have everything you need right there to float the river. However, it’s packed with people, I mean packed. Bumper tubes on the river, blasting music all day and all evening. Tent canopies all over the devils playground 24/7 staking claim so you can’t set up a lawn chair to enjoy. Drunk/stoned people everywhere. I would not take kids here.
Showers were not working. We prepaid for our camping trip July 19 thru July 22 for 2 campsites our friends prepaid their campsite and another friend got an RV site. Sunday the 21 we were all told to go get new vehicle permits otherwise we would be towed that was just rude and unprofessional to have already prepaid they should have brought us our new car registration not threatened us with towing our vehicles. Last trip we brought our own tubes and didn't need the shuttle there was no 20 fee to float within the property now there is a 20 fee with or without the shuttle with your own tube. That should have been explained prior in our rental of the facility. Walkability: Serveral acces points to the river
I have been staying here for the past 10 years and until now have had a great experience. This year we had the WORST neighbors staying up til 3am with loud music, yelling profanities, grown men urinating by the tents. We contacted the campground and they came with security and assured us they would monitor them to prevent further altercation after they came onto our site and physically threatened my mother and sister while they were alone. When it was time do what they promised the second night, the security guard came and ended up taking pictures with the group and took pictures with them. Then laughed about how we "tried to complain". DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR FAMILIES OR ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO SLEEP.
Can't give it zero stars so it gets one. I highly recommend finding somewhere else to go. You can't float here without being attacked by 30-40 people doing everything they can to flip you and soak you. We watch two people be carried out in stretchers by EMS and no one did anything to stop this. We will never come back. This isn't a relaxing float. It's hell and multiple people in our group were hurt as well. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Go anywhere else. Safety: not safe here.
Completely rude person on the phone. Just called a while ago to ask about having our dog there. You can tell she was extremely agitated that I even asked. Will never do business here. A little courtesy of the phone with some empathy would have been the right way to handle this
Everything was perfect until we got down to Devils Playground. The amount of disrespectful adults shooting everyone in the face with water guns was astonishing. Even when asked nicely to stop, they would still continue. On top of that, there was no place to pop up a chair because everyone had claimed a spot the night before with their canopies. I mean, you had to walk across people floating, carrying your chairs/cooler while being shot with waterguns to find a place to enjoy. Then, when you found a place, you had to listen to disgusting music, and have pot blowing in your face. TO BE CLEAR, it was not a family friendly environment, at Devils Playground. Now, the reservation was easy, the people were friendly at check in, the general store employees were super friendly, the site was clean, and trash was picked up daily. The camp-site was beautiful and spacious. We stayed at site 26. We absolutely had a wonderful time at our camp-site, but if you're going to enjoy Devils Playground, don't get your hopes up too high. Unless, you're cool with a bunch of grown ups acting like 10 year olds, then it may be your vibe.
We had a awesome time during the solar eclipse. The staff is beyond amazing and friendly. Everything you need is right there. Perfect for family or a quick get away. Also was very accommodating about my good friend who is a veteran bringing his service dog. We all were very grateful and I definitely recommend Lazy L&L!!!! Nearby activities: Tubing and fishing! Relaxing on the river. Safety: Family friendly and staff nearby. Walkability: Bathrooms in walking distance.
Our favorite campground along River Road. Live music on the weekends. Horseshoes, washer boards and volleyball courts are available. Clean sites and bathrooms. The devils playground is awesome to relax on a hot day.Service: 5/5
Not a place for families. Constant use of illegal substances. Do not recommend for river floats. People take spraying you with water guns on the river to a whole new level. You are not having fun, just fighting for your life. Will not be returning.
