The bathrooms were clean and the shaded spots were fantastic. It definitely helped keep my rig cooler when it was 112°F outside. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and professional. They pick up garbage at your site throughout the day. They could have more doggy stations, but they did have them, so that was great. They already had 3 dog parks. One of which was very large. Our pups loved it in the morning.
My friend and I camped here for one night while road tripping. I really loved the setup of the deluxe tent site with the pergola structure for shade, overhead lamp, picnic table, and sink. We were unlucky enough to be camping in the desert on one of the few times a year that it rains, and we were grateful to be able to put our tents under the pergola for a better chance at staying dry. Showers and pool are in good shape. I really liked the desert decor near the entrance.
We love KOA and have stayed at this one several times but only in our RV. This time, we stayed in a cabin, and sorry to say I was so VERY DISAPPOINTED. No clean coffee cups, but it really was sad when this is what the coffee maker made this morning. They do say that it takes time for hot water, but you need to turn on the bathroom sink on hot and leave it on so you can take a warm shower. I called and left the office a message as they didn't open till 9 am. No one ever reached out to us. We have been Koa gold members for a long time.
Not a bad place. Gravel with a small pad of concrete and grass. 0 shade. Good activity calendar. The pool / hot tub area was mostly empty on my visit. BBQ wasn't half bad. The bad thing is you had to join some funky web site to get Wi-Fi, which is unheard of , and impossible to get a smart TV connected. Safety: Gated. With night guard shack.
Love the private dog run at our site! That's the best. The grounds are clean and well attended. Every site has greenery. There's even a little tree in the dog area, as well as a shade structure. The showers are nice with lots of hot water. The check-in staff are really nice. I definitely recommend.Service: 5/5
What a neat RV park! We were traveling from CA to TX and needed a convenient place to spend the night and break the trip! This RV park is located right off I10, with very easy in and out! It had a security gate check that’s manned 24/7. The park is located not in the best part of Tucson, however it’s well isolated and it makes you feel like you’re in your own oasis. The check in was very easy, and 48 hours prior to arriving I received a text with valuable information. Also another text the day off, since we arrive bit late. It’s super clean and our RV spot had a privacy fence from some beautiful tall shrub! The patio was beautiful and had iron bistro style table and 4 chairs! Also, a metal pit you could use charcoal or wood in! There is a restaurant on site and in close distance from where we stayed, as well as lots of hang-out common areas. There is WIFI and also cable hookup. We didn’t explore much of that since we had to get up early! There is gas station near by, but not many food options unless you’re willing to drive 10 min.
This RV park is not dog friendly! The only site that’s safe for your dog are the ones with the grapefruits. Every site has lime and lemon trees that they don’t even take care of so the chances of your dog getting sick is pretty much a grantee have fun with the vet bill to have your dogs stomach pumped. They also want to charge you an arm and a leg for every little thing and the staff is always contradicting themselves and can’t get their story straight. They almost threw my packages out because they didn’t register me in the system 150$ worth of packages/medication for my horse. I’ve also never encountered a camp ground where the office staff starts to yell at you because you were trying to get clarification because you were told two different things. I was expecting so much more from the KOA after seeing all of the good reviews but I was only meet with disappointment.
I stayed for 2 nights in one of the Casitas. It was very clean, modern, and quiet. I came to visit family who are staying here. I was close to the pool and site where they were staying so I could walk everywhere I wanted to go. The only thing I would say they could improve on is that the mattress on the queen bed was like a futon mattress, not very comfortable.
This is the best KOA for a reason. The grounds are easy to navigate even for our 42' class A. I love that the garbage gets picked up from your site by the staff. The grounds are kept clean. Walking dogs is super convenient, and there are several off leash areas.Rooms: 5/5
This is a great place to stay. Everything about the place is great. However, this is a very family oriented park. If lots of kids running around and crowding the pools is ok with you, then it is a great place to stay. Us being older would have enjoyed it more if one of the pool areas had been designated for adults only so we could enjoy a little peaceful pool time. The restaurant, however, needs everything looked at, we ate here on two different visits and we won't make the mistake a third time...sorry Restrooms: The restroom are atrocious, but they are scheduled for renovation this summer, so we will see on our next stop in.
