My names is Amparo Jaimes, I’m a pastry chef in Davie and serving all of South Florida. My lifelong dream, was to become a pastry chef. But as I migrated from my native country, I didn’t have much opportunities without a degree. I started selling cakes and pastries from my garage until I woke up wanting more.
It all started the day I walked into the Le cordon bleu culinary school. I graduated from Le cordon bleu with an associate in culinary art and a diploma in baking and pastry and it didn’t stop there, I continued my passion in the pastry art by attending Mariano Moreno Pastry school for a brighter spectrum. I also perfected and certified my chocolate skills with a master chocolatier Hobany Velasco in Colombia as well. I also completed a figure sculpting and cake decorating class with Nora de la pava and continue my education and modernized my techniques with the wonderful cake decorator Maria Teresa Queiroz.
My dreams are not only to create sugar art but also to inspire and satisfy my clients. All orders for me are personalized to every last detail. I not only want to satisfy my clients but I want them to be special. The one thing I love the most is when I get to see the reaction of my client when they are surprised to see what they created, or imaged comes to life in my sugar art.
