My experience at this location was nothing but amazing! It was my first time receiving a facial and honestly I was a little nervous at first but Christina reassured me that I would love my experience, which I did! I highly recommend this service with Christina as well as the spa overall! She explained everything she was doing during the facial with very gentle hands and she even gave me some facial routine tips. The experience was calming and my skin came out beautiful. I will definitely be back for my next facial soon!
This place is amazing. First TJ assessed my hair. Then Josh washed and conditioned my hair. Now back to TJ for the cut. TJ did such a fantastic job on my hair. It was so nice to talk to him. He is very knowledgeable on hair styles. I am definitely going back. Super friendly place.
Always a wonderful experience! Entire family from daughters in their 20s to 90+ Dad all would never go anywhere else. From fixing daughter's toddler-stage 'self' haircut, to keeping hubby happy with his beard, consistently thrilled with results!
Went there with a gift certificate for 5 women to have a makeover that I won at a fundraiser. They were completely unprepared for us even tho I made appts and reminded them of the certificate and all its promises. I think the owner is perhaps a new businesswoman and doesn't have things organized just yet or she simply regretted making this donation, altho fully tax deductible, so was resentful and trying to short-change us. The reflexologist is wonderful, the aesthetist uncaring. My companions all had nice hairstylists and were pleased with their results. I had a nimrod who refused to follow my directions. I cannot recommend this salon in all good faith other than for the reflexology treatments.
Rachael did my hair. Outcome was amazing. She is very professional, dedicated in her Job. Anyone worried about your hair style,I strongly Recommend Rachael. She can make Miracles on your hair.
I had, by far, the worst mani & pedi from this place. I bought a deal off of Living Social they claimed in person that it is an $80 deal but Living Social said it's a $56 deal, so they aren't even coordinated on the prices of their services for a gel manicure and a pedicure. During the pedicure, they told us that removing calluses is extra, that it is only included in the full price deal... That is not right. If a company is going to sell a deal and say it is usually worth a certain amount, they have to provide all the services included in the full price deal, otherwise, it is not a deal, it is just a separate service altogether. As nothing was mentioned on Living Social about not having everything included, I felt this was extremely dishonest of them, and quite a rip off. Then during my manicure, the lady asked me how I liked my nails after doing two layers. I wanted so badly to say "what do you think?" because if anyone had looked at it they would have been able to tell it was definitely not complete! You could see right through the polish and it was very blotchy. Yes, the polish was obviously more sheer than other types, but a professional would know they need to put another layer and not ask you how it looks before doing so. It was embarrassing. On top of that, the mani and pedi were both shoddy jobs - the polish on my toes came off completely within less than one week. Nail polish, as everyone knows, doesn't come off on toes for months. How is it possible that a professional place would do a pedicure that comes off in less than a week? As of now, 2 and a half weeks later, it is all gone. My gel manicure outgrew really fast because they didn't do a good job on my cuticles, started cracking in the first week and is already peeling off. Overall, I am surprised to see a fancy place in Winter Park do such a poor job for such a high price and I won't be back or recommending it to anyone. At least they had free wine so they have that going for them.
I bought a deal from living social for the spa side mani/pedi. It was ok... had to tell the technician to apply another coat of gel polish after she was done with my nails. After she applied the third coat it turned out pretty good. The pedicure is basic. Cuticals aren't cut, they're softened and removed. The technican was friendly and I don't have any complaints.
I just hope Ariz read about how dishearten I feel. This isn’t a laughing matter, but this is my way of expressing myself. Ironically, I came across this review after a few weeks of wondering why I never got a call back or an email about the status of my hiring process which I already knew something was wrong. A few weeks ago, I applied for the SALON RECEPTIONIST position. The funny thing is, the comment I read below, which is about a grandmother having a hard time getting an appointment – the answer from the owner was they are having issue with their permanent receptionist. ARE THEY SERIOUS! Did they even hire the right person? Gee, I wonder. I am sure I would have done a good job handling someone’s appointment without being rude. If they have someone who may not even have the experience handling Mr. Young grandmother’s appointment should not even have the job. I feel bad that Mister Young dealt with their “permanent receptionist.” Don’t seem professional or reliable here! I can imagine that Ariz is not happy about this. Furthermore, I am more upset that I never received a feedback about the questions that I answered for the hiring process which I know for a fact I did a heck of a good job! I even asked my previous co-workers and they were pleased. Unfortunately, I wasted my time typing all of that to impress Ms. Bousaid. Maybe that is not the case here, maybe I am being judged for the wrong reasons. I was born with microtia, which is a deformity of the ear, and plus I wear a hearing aid. So maybe they are snobby and uppity over there as Mr.Young has mentioned. Maybe I look foreign because I remember clearly that Ariz asked if I am legal or have a green card. Seriously? NO, I was born and raised in Central Connecticut. I did brush that off because I had a feeling maybe she was making sure but I still don’t know what that was about. Maybe because I'm gay? Considering it is Winter Park, a snobby land which I thought it was worse than what I was witnessing living in Connecticut. Even Ariz warned me about people in Winter Park saying I need to be careful because of the rich mentality that they have, such as complaining or demanding over appointments.I have NO CLUE, but there are unanswered questions here. I’m not here to put Ariz down, but I feel that it is deceitful that she would give me high hopes of this job opportunity and I just think that is not right. Considering that I skip job interviews, plus places that I would have applied to and I basically wasted my time with Le Salon. I was even her first interview. Also, I think she should’ve told me why she was not interested and maybe giving me a chance by volunteering or doing work interview without being paid which probably would have helped her decide about which candidate is right for the job. I do have a certificate in Esthetic and I was known for doing great spa treatments regarding pedi and mani when I was in school. I can see that people complained about their experience with their pedi/mani.Why can she consider that as a possible opportunity for me? I was looking for something long-term and a stable job since I have never had a permanent work history and that is very frustrating since high school in 2008 to Dec 2016. In fact, one of the reasons why I left Connecticut after graduating there is no good jobs up there since the economy is horrible in Connecticut. I really WISH that I was hired because I am in Orlando alone with just a roommate who helped me moved here. I have no friends or family here.I even told Ariz in the interview that she reminded me of my aunt from Toronto. When I discovered that Ariz was from Paris I think it makes sense because my aunt lived in Paris, France in the 70s-80s. Before she was from Lebanon. Unfortunately, I think it was bad luck not getting the job or working in a place that would make me feel at home. I really loved the area and the salon which I felt connected. I do feel discourage looking for another search of a salon or whatever I can find that will accept me of my asset and everything about myself.

The scabs are finally falling off three days after my lip wax. Had a trip planned to visit family out of town and feel self conscious. It’s ok. Not the end of the world.
