One of the best banh mi I have found in Portland. It’s the right size has most of the correct ingredients and is priced accurately. I typically get the lemongrass pork, the meat is delicious, flavorful and true to the style, the veggies are appropriately portioned and all for around $5. Personally I wish they had picked daikon and real jalapeño slices. That being said this is a great banh mi and a great representation for the area. The owners are super friendly and have other great authentic homemade offerings. Ill be back. Still great, the flavors bring me back to Hue
This place is absolutely fantastic. The Bahn Mi’s are hands down the best in the southern Maine area but I haven’t had them out of the southern Maine area. The owners are friendly and welcoming. I haven’t been disapointed yet and I consider myself a frequent visitor. The prices can’t be beat especially considering the taste and quality of the food. 10/10 would recommend.
A true hidden gem. The bahn mi sandwiches are very good and at a price that is unbeatable. The fried rice and egg rolls are great too. Nice people making good food at a great price!
I just went into this store for a pack of cigarettes and small bite to eat I was thinking along the lines of Italians, or pizza slice. The guy working asked if I wanted to try a sandwich, I said yes, then he asked what type of meat, I chose pork. BEST BAHN MI SANDWICH EVER. I got 4 stars good heat, everything tasted fresh and was made fast. Completely blown away. Definitely will be returning.
Get the Bahn Mi sandwich! I had a pork lemongrass 3-star bahn mi and it was fantastic. Super cheap too. Very highly recommended. The outside of the store is a little run down, but the bahn mi more than makes up for it.
Li makes the best Tofu Bahn Mi sandwich period, after I agree that even after falling in love with the Chicken version. I admire Li's dedication to each Bahn mi, as he makes each one like a hand built custom motorcycle to take the Auto Bahn! 1 bite of the Bahn mi is worth a 1000 words. The fresh spring rolls with the peanut sauce is as good as it gets.
I don't only believe the workers legal workers, but we got sick from the pad thai. The food definitely had a form of bacteria that made my entire family sick. We will never go back, and I would discourage anyone from doing business with them as they are not pleasant people. They were very rude when we asked to speak with the owner about our complaint, and they wouldn't give us his name. If anyone knows his name please let us know. Thank you! Comfortable atmosphere, great food and a cheerful staff! Always recommend this place to my friends for their tasty pizza and low prices. Being open nearly every day snow or shine and so local makes them my favorite convenient store! 10/10
I will be thinking about this food until I come back again! I had the bbq pork bahn mi one day and the lemongrass pork bahn mi on day two and egg rolls both days. So, so good.
