WOW ! My experience with the League City Police Dept. Was horrific ! I'm not sure if I can list officers by name however I'd be happy to share my experiences. Overall they treat everyone as if they're trash off the street that interfere with their personal phone time, and couldn't spell professionalismif it were tattooed on their foreheads. I guess the only thing citizens can do is vote at this point. If League City would like a list of ways they can improve business along with customer service, they are welcome to contact me. Either way I will write my congressman in regards to how they handle interactions with humans and remind them that we are supposed to be innocent till proven guilty not the other way around !
During one experience I called 911 for medical assistance and a cop showed up with them, asked for my ID while I was having trouble breathing and went upstairs with my permission, but under duress to go in my purse to get it when I told him where it was. The EMT's did not need his assistance getting into my home, and the cop was looking at me suspiciously as I discussed my high blood pressure with the EMT's. He appeared to have checked my ID when I had not committed a crime and he came into my home at the invitation of the ambulance workers, without a warrant or even reasonable suspicion of anything. On another occasion, I had a much better experience months later with one of the officers who I spoke with over the phone regarding a missing person. He was very helpful and called me back right away with new information that solved a mystery for me. I was very grateful for his assistance because we need more helpful cops like him, and less like the one who entered my home and asked for my ID when I was only seeking medical attention.
I am a resident of League City since 1997. I have gotten to know several of the police officers on staff over the years. I have found them all to be professional and truly concerned about the welfare of the citizens of our city and surrounding area. I think sometimes those who write reviews on Google forget the pledge to protect and serve these officers take. I would be willing to bet, the first call they would make when a home invader is kicking in the door, would be to 911 for a police office to respond, even though they just gave them a single star rating. My thanks goes out to all officers in League City and throughout the US. Thank you for your sacrifice and willingness to lay down your life to serve and protect. Thank you for working for less pay than you could make in the open business market. Thank you for remaining positive even though you have to deal with the worst of the worst on a day to day basis. Know there are a lot of law abiding citizens out there who have your back. As a licensed concealed Hand Gun Permit holder, I would not hesitate to help an office in need. Thank you all for your service!
If I could give them less I would. Very rude officer that gave zero information to my employee and took no statement from him in a wreck yesterday. Gave a ticket due to witnesses only account. Spoke incredibly rude to him, even though he was totally nice and compliant. On speaker phone I heard his responses and lack of them. We have no case number, wouldn’t tell us where the truck was being towed, etc. Maybe it’s not because my employee was a young black man, because I hear they treat everyone like this. Had to get all info from the wrecker driver. All we got from the officer was shut up and sit down and a ticket.
I was a military policeman for 20 years. I have seen and worked with law enforcement agencies and officers all over the world. There are none better than right here in League City. I have had only a few personal encounters with our officers each was handled in a appropriate and professional manner. I am grateful and proud of our officers!
I recently received an arrest warrant concerning a traffic ticket for an individual other than myself at my home. Prior to finding the arrest warrant at my door, I was informed by an employee at my former residence that a LCPD officer came in asking for information regarding my residency. I felt as though that because an officer was asking for my whereabouts when I was not the person suspected of a crime and warrants were now being placed on my door for a person other than myself that it could misrepresent myself and potentially damage my reputation. I decided to call the League City Police Department and left my name and number with the clerk. My intentions were to speak with any officer or personnel who could explain protocol regarding issuing warrants and answer any further questions that I may have had. I was later contacted by Officer Heausler at 3:17 pm on August 20th. I briefly explained the situation and asked why the warrant would come to my home. At that point Officer Heausler responded by rigorously interrogating me. The 5 minute phone conversation consisted of accusations, hostility, threats, mockery, and name calling from Heausler directed towards myself. Heausler stated that he drove by my home numerous times.. whether or not this was warranted surveillance I will need to speak with a lawyer about, I was asked what kind of vehicle I drove, accused of being present when the warrant was delivered, laughed at, called a liar and threatened. After being verbally attacked by your officer I stated multiple times that “I did not get in contact with the LCPD to argue with anyone” and that I would like to speak to someone else or his Sergeant, which I was denied. I am a citizen who was calling with valid concerns that unfortunately I was unable to voice. Instead, I was treated very poorly and as though I was a criminal. The City of League City publicly states their professional standards “Peace officers are asked to exercise their best judgement under stressful situations.. officers must be courteous, professional, and observe the rights of ALL citizens while performing their duties.” I feel as though the Officer in question demonstrated none of these things, abused his authority and violated my rights as a citizen for fair treatment.
The best police dept. I have ever seen. They are so nice, patient, kind & fair. I'm from Los Angeles. The police are the opposite of LCPD officers I have had the pleasure to encounter here. I thank them all for their service! You make living here a true pleasure & a safe one too.
Every experience I've had with this police department has been horrible. From a female officer who decided that her badge made her above being a decent human being, to an officer who incorrectly wrote a report to an accident that I didn't cause. I think I know the officer from a past job, and if that had anything to do with the incorrectly written report, that's unethical. The only positive thing was the Sargent who was willing to listen to the concern and contact the officer in question in order to have him amend his report, although it didn't do any good.
I gave one star because I couldn't give any lower. L.C.P.D are the absolute worst. There rude, and lazy. Officer Garner is a pathetic excuse for law enforcement. She lets her personal feelings get in the way of her job and abuses her power. I'll do anything I can to avoid involving them in anything!!
My daughter got a ticket for speeding last week and she called me while she was pulled over and had me on the phone on speaker. The police officer was completely rude to her. My daughter is delayed and has a severe disability and I really don't appreciate him giving her the ticket when someone went flying past her. They need to learn how to use their radar guns. I feel like League City pinpoints out young people and thats just wrong. Not every young person is a problem. I've heard that League City police department discriminates against young people and that's just wrong.
