Doctor Anna Shuck likes to body shame and judge people about what they wear. I’d suggest finding another doctor.
Wife is on 2 week of infection no phone calls. Been in 3 times for the same issue no one cares about to claim neglect!
I don't know if they have any form of internal communication system because the amount of times they have forgotten to submit my labs, contact me back, and give me any form of quality care has been almost non-existent. There is one nurse that I like but the doctors are not impressive. I told a doctor there that I wanted birth control with minimal estrogen and she put me on a stronger estrogen-based pill that made me an emotional mess and increases my risk of stroke based on medical history. I told them I wanted to be taken off the birth control but for months after they still had me in their system as being on those pills. Last time I came in was for a routine STD check. They lost/misplaced my sample three times. I wouldn't have known unless I called them each time asking for a status update. Once I came in with possible strep and they just prescribed me the antibiotics even though my tests came back negative. They also prescribed me medicine for chlamydia even though they hadn't gotten test results back -- and I ended up not having it in the first place. They also gave me a medication for a cold sore and when I tried to do a standard refill they declined it. I have no desire to ask for a reason why so I guess I'm out of luck for that. Expect to wait a decent amount of time and possibly come back several times in case they simultaneously tell you your sample is not viable and yet somehow lost at the same time : Just go to urgent care. There's a reason this place has a reputation for being a scam in town. Save your time.
I first went to this clinic for medical exam required for a visa and then again for COVID testing required to fly at the time. This was in July 2020, in the early months of the pandemic. I received a bill for nearly $2000 for my COVID test several weeks later and had to make several international phone calls to dispute the cost. A requirement for the country I was moving to for work purposes was to have a letter on letterhead, signed and stamped by a doctor verifying my negative COVID test result. The LLFHC's front desk questioned why this was necessary, adding yet another hoop to the many bureaucracies that come with moving life and work abroad especially during a global pandemic. Then when I returned to the US and sought another medical exam for a work visa for another country, I was again met with resistance and unfriendliness. I was organized with the information needed to complete the medical exam and provided not only the form but requirements expected to complete this form like a blue inked pen. The office dragged its feet, lacked any sort of internal communication, misplaced my paperwork at one point, eventually filled it in and signed it in the wrong color pen, mocked and questioned the requirements, and treated me with contempt and like a pest. Three months later, and I am only now getting my bill only to realize that it would have been much cheaper for me to have paid for this appointment out of pocket than through insurance which they claim they couldn't have told me about at the time of service. I find it amazing that people who in general seem so adverse to helping others would choose to work at this or any health center and in this profession. The people of Leavenworth and Lansing deserve so much better!
Absolutely ZERO STARS!!!!! We've only been there 2 or 3 times but every single time it is the same. The nurses that take you back to the room are short and rude with you, and not friendly at all. And you always have to wait AT LEAST 20-30 minutes once you get back to the room, even if there aren't any other patients there! Then once the doctor comes in, it's like they are trying to break a record as to how quickly they can be done with you. So very disappointing when all I want is for my daughter to be seen and treated for her pain!!! NEVER GOING BACK!!!!
The team saved my bacon recently. They were quick to act when I was in dire strains. Most likely saved my life.
I have had great experiences and horrible ones. Dr. Daniel is awesome and the lab tech is as well. One doctor specifically accused me of not taking my antibiotics correctly and said that’s why my strep was coming back. After 12 weeks on antibiotics and my 4th reoccurrence of strep I had always been chronic, I was finally recommended to a specialist that suggested I get my tonsils removed. This same doctor also once told me that there’s no such thing as brown recluse spiders in Kansas when I went in to have a bite looked at that was starting to change colors.
Keeping in mind I rarely visit the doctor period, I have normally had pretty good service and always at a fair price. There is normally a bit of a wait but its not always the case. Cristiano has always taken excellent care of me, there have been a few other practitioners that have taken care of me as well. I will say I have had at least one negative experience there but if I remember correctly they made it right. It does take some time to get ahold of billing at times if you have questions but for the most part they have gotten back to me in a somewhat timely manner. Overall I would say 3.5 but ill chalk it up to a 4.
If I could give this place 0 stars I definitely would. This place is an absolute joke. The nurses are always friendly but the doctors are horrible. I used to love this place but it's gone down hill drastically over the years. I was seen over a week ago by Dr. Mira for a severe pain I was having on my right side. Like I had suspected, she also thought it was my appendix or maybe my gall bladder. She gets me in for an emergency CT at St. Johns hospital, I'm told I'll have the results in a day or 2. A week later I'm still calling the office and getting the same answer "we haven't received them yet." I call the hospital and am told they have been sent over 4 different times. I had finally had enough and went to the health center to figure out what the hell was going on. I go into the office with the same pain and also for a doctor's note. Not planning on being seen just waiting for a note and to talk to someone about these scans. I waited for over 2 hours. I'm taken back by a nurse and then I'm seen AGAIN by Dr. Mira. Now I'm being told that they do have the CT scans, the ones that I had been waiting for a week to hear back on that they supposedly had never gotten. She begins to tell me that she doesn't know what could be causing the pain, so, she proceeds to get on Google, which I've seen some doctors do when looking up medications and things but never to find a diagnosis. I'm literally in shock at this point. I've never in my life seen a doctor get on Google to try to give a diagnosis. After that she looks at the scans from the CT and proceeds to tell me that she wants me to get in to see an OB doctor ASAP because she thinks I have cancer. I'm obviously shocked as hell, that was definitely not something I was expecting to hear but at the same time I'm sitting here wondering if that was the information she thought was correct from her Google search. Please, learn from what I've gone through and stay far far away from this place.
