An amazing inclusive playground ideal for all ages. Features lots of sound stations and musical instruments. It even has a conveyor slide, which I haven't seen for years and is still awesome! The playground itself is fenced in which is now with smaller kids. Lots of open fields, trail, tennis courts, and restrooms. Aquatic center/pool is newly remodeled as of summer 2022 and should open any day.
The Off-Leash Dog park is at the extreme east end of the park, and it is fantastic. Lots of room, areas for small and big dogs, bubbler watering stations, benches for humans, paved walking paths, lots of shade, and plenty of parking. I would've given it 5 stars if it had human rest rooms. The nearest are ~¼ mi away. Dog-friendliness: Definitely dog friendly. Superb facility, well maintained.
You burn in summer because it's just about grass. Only a few trees where the lake is and that's it. They even cut down the ones where the cell tower site is as well as the ones surrounding I435. Some they planted on other areas were left unattended and died.
My main teason for coming is the playground. It is only shaded in the early morning and late afternoon. It has equipment for little kids, and older. It is fenced, and has a lot of space for running. Sitting space is limited. It is located very close to a highway.
Only explored one area but soccer fields were nice and spacious and well kept.
Nice park with lots of space. It's full of new equipment and a big dog park. Trails and shelters are plentiful. Enjoy!
Located in Central Leawood, this city park has it all. Paved trails for families and friends ds to walk or bike. A fantastic playground for kids to enjoy! An amazing aquatic center sits central in the park. Plentiful open space for running or kicking a ball around exists too. Dogs the dog park too. A city treasure for all to enjoy!
It's really pretty and it has a Waterpark for the family. But I don't recommend you walk here at summer because it's extremely hot.
Good dog park, however be very careful out on the trails. I took my dog out there on-leash and we ran into a snake. Just keep an eye out while enjoying your stroll.
