Good place for group or individual study. Offers group study rooms and individual as well on booking basis. Library has printers also, can use at a nominal charge to take any printouts.
I actually was pretty impressed with the size of this library when I first started going to university! I pretty much spend all of my time in between classes here and it’s a nice place. The staff have always been sweet to me and they take to my humour nicely. Once I was sitting alone reading a book in the hallway to the west end on the second floor and a janitor who was mopping made a joke to me and talked to me and I really liked her. She was friendlier to me than most people who are my age are! I’ve also met some nice students from other majors in here, most of which I’ve never really talked to more than once but I appreciate our short time together . My only complaints are that the computers used to save your login info but now they make you login and do the two-factor authentication EVERY. TIME. and that is so annoying, especially when I power off my phone before using the computer to remove the distraction. The other complaint is that I once saw this one guy who… hmm… let’s just say that he was very boldly looking at some pretty interesting and sus anime pictures on a computer, and it was sort of funny but like why would you do that in a public place bro . Anyways yeah, cool library.
Had so much help finding the relevant materials that surely would of taken me hours to find. Love how you can ask a librarian at Leddy Library and they know exactly what you want and where it is and, cherry on top, they provide you with information you hadn’t thought of but need. Aces!
It’s one of the places that I used to spend time and study and used to finish projects so productively specially in the 3rd floor because it very quiet and have a nice view. Sadly, the library does not provide a public hotspot to students from other academic institutions so in this case you have to use one of their computers in the first floor but still you can use their computers and all services just as a student of Windsor. The library has 5 floors and it’s really worth trying.
It was great.. the staff were so helpful. It is open to the public and has a water outlet in the library where you can refill. The ambience is amazing and has different levels of study rooms I.e conversational and quiet study rooms. I loved it and I am so sad to discover it too late.
Multiple floors, vast collection of books, open to non-students as well with assessment and vaccination proof, cafeteria at 1st floor but it has been closed since COVID. It's just a perfect study environment. The refreshment dispensing machines are not all functional as only 1 of 3 works - the other two doesn't even read cards! Just wish there were more windows on other floors as well like the 1st floor. Leaving stuff unattended at the private 'kiosks' is a source of constant worry but, that aside, it's a quiet and comfortable place to study for sure
Nice place to study. Ample number of books there. 1st floor is very quiet and seating arrangement is comfortable too. They have writing help desk as well. WiFi is available for university students and you can also find sockets everywhere. There's lots of computers on ground floor and basement area. But never leave your things unattended.
Lovely and quiet. Perfect place to study. I got a few jumpscares from the lighting because they are motion detected but the staff is really nice.
It's always a great experience to visit this library...super polite and helpful staff...u will find wveything here
Really awesome library! Even though I was a St. Clair College student, I still went there to use the Internet since I had no Internet in my apartment. The staff for the most part are really nice there and are willing to bend over backwards to assist non-university students like myself. For example: I forgot my headphones and when I told them I was not a student, they gave me a pair of headphones to borrow and all I had to provide was my Ontario Driver's Licence. I really liked that they had computers for the public to use and even though it said 15 min on busy time periods, the library wasn't as busy.
