Small plane OK, short runway takes you right over the Chesapeake bay in 3 minutes at South River. Great little field with easy access to Annapolis sites. Beautiful approach over the river on 12. Watch out for the ospreys! Good tie downs.
We were eating a morning snack. We were watching planes come in and out especially one I guess was being taught to take off and land. It's pretty awesome just sit there and watch him take off and land. Especially when I'm one who's afraid to have planes fly over top of my vehicle
This is a great airport to use if you are visiting the area, and the guys at Chesapeake Aviation are always willing to help. However, if you own a plane, and are considering keeping it here, you might consider somewhere else. It is under the Baltimore-Washington SFRA restricted area, which makes getting in an out of the area a bit of a headache. The runway and main taxiway are in good shape, but the taxiways to the parking areas need a lot of work. The hangars and shade-ports are in poor conditions, and have been for many years.
Great little airport, good service and 100LL V Gas. Small plane OK, short runway takes you right over the Chesapeake bay in 3 minutes at South River. Good tie downs.

I showed up there on a Saturday to inquire about flying and within an hour I was signed up and in the co-pilot seat lifting off the tarmac.
Fantastic little airport in a superb location! Great facilities and access to Annapolis! Keep up the great work, LEE-ANP!
HELLO SIR ! I HAVE EXPERIENCE OF AIRPLANE ENGINE MECHANIC AND LOOKING FOR JOB , WILL BE THANKFUL IF CONSIDERED FOR WORK
It's cool if you own a plane. If you don't, expect some pretty big logs.
Space, affordable, fuel!
