Lee County Sheriff

I live in Minnesota but watching closely about the progression of Ian. I was totally amazed & impressed how the Sheriff's Dept handle the warnings. They did a great job warning everyone about the dangers & urged everyone to evacuate!! And in a very timely manner! Those who did not heed the warnings to evacuate should in no way be blaming the Sheriff's Dept!! Besides, those who did not leave put others in danger by having to be rescued! Good job to all Florida departments who served. It is so sad to see our beautiful state of Florida in such shambles. My prayers go out to all of you. God bless.

I am going to make this one short and sweet The reason I rated it three. Is because the first time I called the lady I got on the phone. Was not a happy lady I think she said her name was Leilani or something anyways her name started with an l. I didn't hear her pronounce her name so I then asked her who am I speaking with. She got really rude and said how can I help you? I said ma'am who am I speaking with? I said I would like to know who I'm talking to because I like to make it personal by knowing their name. Should not be a big deal however she tells me if I don't like the way she does things just to hang up and call back and I'll get another dispatcher... Mind you I was calling the 911 dispatch which is the number you call if they need to send officer out or something like that. Definitely not the person you want taking the calls. However I did call back I got a lady by the name of Vanessa #05113. She was very helpful and concerned about my issue. She explained things to me I live in Tennessee so I'm nowhere close. And I don't have any family down there to help My brother. But this lady stayed on the phone with me explaining things to me for about 15 minutes telling me what I needed to do and who I needed to call. She did it because she enjoys her job, she enjoys helping people obviously. Although I was another voice on the phone she still treated me like I was somebody. And for that these days you have to be thankful for. I'm glad that they have her there because you never know what people have going on. You should always be kind but she was amazing and I just wanted to go on here and make a review because her kindness meant that much to me. I really didn't write the review to complain. I'm writing it to let Ms Vanessa know how much it meant to me that she took the time to help me.

Sheriff's were called out to my house after neighbors were drunk parked in my yard also exposed themselves to my wife and my kids were just outside. Relieving themselves next to our yard. Then next night one parks in my ditch. I ask to leave he starts peeling out in yard runs over my mailbox and then almost me. I call sheriff's they come out laugh about don't do nothing and leave said there was no damage meanwhile this same cop picked my mailbox of the ground with the broken concrete band. Leaves. This guy was drunk and he just let leave I try to give licensed tag number and all they didn't do anything and just left leaving me to have to fix my yard on my own and pay for damages to my landlord.. this is the second time I've called and they didn't help I guess it's cause we're por and live in pine manor. I'm a hard-working fTher of three girls and this has gave me a bad tatse in mouth for my local authority. Had this been in gateway would have been another story.

On August 4 we filed a report of theft of over $2000.00 and have yet to be contacted by anyone. This was not just an accusation there was plenty of video showing the crime. Guess they will get around to us eventually but if your looking for justice your pretty much gonna be disappointed.

My self and my wife would like to give a huge thanks for the selflessness of the Lee County officers who have been a huge part of assisting those in need dis placed by hurricane Ian..its humbling how amazing they have been during and after the hurricane..thank you again for keeping us all safe out there..Clint and Tanya

Lee county Did not evacuate the juvenile prison or the regular prison during this deadly hurricane. Reports on TikTok show that thousands of people of died and Lee county is allegedly concealing the deaths of many including who they refused to evacuate to safety. Everyone wants to know the truth.

Gary and Lisa Zwerdling went to the Lee County substation in Estero today to get our fingerprints for a pistol permit we were met with Civilian Deputy Nancy Coffey she was the most professional friendly cheerful and wonderful person we ever met she made our experience really good and we had a great time with her and and I can’t say enough about her she was just beyond Enjoyable. I was a Deputy in. Ulster County New York for 36 years and I know how important it is for public relations to have great people on your staff you should be very proud to have her as a Employee she represent your department great. There was also another woman who was a civilian volunteer who was also very friendly but I failed to get her name anyway you have a great staff and a great sheriffs office

One of your officers unnecessarily pushed my friend into a car, hand cuffed her skin not just her wrists used enough forces to cause my 110 pound friend to collapse and have a seizure. Then the disrespectful officer that came to the hospital was actually mocking her. Disturbing that your officers are using excessive force and mockery on someone who was not the subject in question. DO BETTER

I wanted to give a shoutout to the canine deputy around 8 p.m. at the corner of Buckingham Rd. and 82 on 07/08. I didn't catch his name. He allowed me to proceed after learning my dog was bitten by a Copperhead snake. She is still stable and doing well, but not out of the woods. This is what good community relations is all about. I am glad we finally have a sheriff that cares about our canine family members.

Is this dept still around or did someone with a brain come by and shut it down? This country doesn’t anymore brainless hillbillies operating state owned vehicles or holding state owned guns. Go flip burgers at your pops local bar until you get an education or training.
