I stayed here for 3 months and I got use to the filthy toilets and disgusting showers I had to use. Its community toilets and showers. Microwave was so filthy, I ended up eating out all the time. The hallway smells like dead animals and the view in the front and back of the building is filled with homeless people with their tents and carts. But what I found so hilarious is the owner an Indian woman thinks her Skid Row Hotel is a Hilton Hotel. Better off sleeping at the beach. I rate this place -10 negative stars. If you ever wondered what sleeping in a trash dumpster feels like, rent at this hotel!!!
Worst owner ever, you pay for your own chemicals to clean the restroom, bedbugs overcrowding the mattresses, cockroaches getting into your pizza before you do, mice friendly enough to come up to you, not a single t.v. works which is false advertisement, you pay double for the month if your guest sleeps for one night even though it is not on the rules and regulations of the facility. The owner spies on you and take pictures of you using the security cameras. Not worth your money, I would rather sleep in my car.
Me and my son have been saying here for going on two weeks we haven't experienced any issues since we've been here. The price is very affordable if it's for a short stay and you don't mind sharing a bathroom and a shower which they have plenty of. The staff is very friendly and caring I've had no problem whatsoever with the staff, the bug situation I have not experienced any roaches, bed bugs or mice. it's not the best area to be in but if you stay to yourself you will be just fine. I only wish that there were more motels at this price because it could help a lot of the homeless. so for my stay here has been just fine. The bathrooms showers and hallway are cleaned with bleach every morning.
Great on price. Area not so good.Rooms: 5/5
It is a great value to pay flat rate of $165 or $190 for 2 people on a weekly basis, as opposed to other motels that are night to night basis of at least $65+ and no weekly rate. If more motels offered this weekly flat rate, even in nicer areas, would be helpful considering the homeless population is at an all time high and not many people low income or those in the middle of looking for a permanent residence, being myself and my boyfriend can afford $400+ for a week at a crappy motel. Main complaint is the location and rift raft of people staying or coming and going outside the establishment. Very clean here, had public showers and bathroom, but sometimes hear loud music or people fighting, some shady people on the street at night. But I wouldn't expect much more nor complain as this is the only motel that had low affordable weekly rates. Its fine if you just keep to your self and don't engage with anyone weird when they try to talk to you.
Giving zero stars would be more appropriate than one star. Hell, if negative stars existed then it would be more accurate. Gone are the days a couple years ago where the cheap room rates would forgive the bedbug infestation, community bathrooms with a dead bulb on the ceiling 20 ft above the toilet, tv's that MAYBE get two channels. At their current price structure, it's a sad joke. Especially when the front door has the appearance of a bomb shelter and the soda machine in the foyer busted. Makes a sketchy situation even less promising.
UPDATED/REDACTED REVIEW: It is what it is the moment you're there.. not a playground or place for kids!!, obviously.. But, you wouldn't be in Wilmington on Broad Ave. & F street. if that's what you were looking for.. Overall; like i said, it is what it is, while you're there, if you need a good place that's not too expensive.. & offers extended staying..
If you stay to yourself, you'll be ok.Some of the rooms have bathrooms in them, some don't.Mine did, fortunately. The manager was civilized when I called to reserve a room Not the best area Someone who was staying there got stabbed.A lot of people go there for a place to stay temporarily. My experience was OK,the only thing I didn't like was you have to pay them $40 on top of what you are already paying, and leave for the night but you can store your stuff in the room overnight. I stayed here for 4 months over a year ago.
Horrible. Nasty. Dirty. Bed bugs, Roaches, Mice. They rent to homeless, pedophiles, rapists, druggies, not fire safe! Horrible manager! Rude. Hates animals. And expensive! For that??? 750 month! Definitely NO!
I am currently staying here, have been here a little over a week and am glad to be here.I was at The Doors of Hope homeless shelter and now would much rather be here.I would rather be here than The Del Mar or The Ambassador. The owners are very accommodating and the manager is really cool. The handyman and I, became friends. The rates are reasonable, good atmospere.Lived here several years ago and had no problems
