Visited for the first time, while in the area from TEXAS. At first impression, it looks really small from the outside. I had a rice and chicken soup, coffee and some dessert and it was all very good. We would come back, since the female behind the counter was friendly and we felt welcomed.Food: 4/5
Always have to grab a bite here when I visit town. The staff is always so kind and has time to chat. My food is always done so fast and is delicious every time! Very reasonable prices with a great selection. A real gem of Eastport. :Food: 5/5
I’m not sure it’s possible to fully enumerate all the wonderful elements of Leeward Market. This location is such a hub for community. Every time I come in, Michelle or Jeannie is having a deep, meaningful conversation with a regular while taking orders and keeping the line moving, to boot. The place is teeming with local presence—there are books by local authors and pastries by local bakers all on display; it feels like a real salmagundi of Eastport. And I myself have been the beneficiary of Leeward Market’s support of local businesses; Michelle kindly allows me to keep cards for my pet care business near the dog treat station. I’ve never felt rushed or unwelcome here, even though it can get quite hectic during morning and lunch rushes. And the food is always plated thoughtfully and thoroughly scrumptious! My favorites are the spinach salad and house bagel chips. It’s a real gem of a spot, a beloved emblem of Eastport. I highly recommend anyone stop by if you want to feel warmly welcomed and fully satiated.
Super friendly staff, told us all the best places to go while in East Port. Food was good too.Food: 4/5
Just stopped in for the first time today to grab a sandwich and I was greeting by a friendly face. The peruvian sandwhich is amazing. I am so glad I found this gem. I will return and try their other offerings soon.
It's a great diner with everyday groceries you can buy. It's right in Eastport and an easy to walk to if you are by boat. I would not recommend the Taco special. Unfortunately it was inedible. However most of their meals are good.
It was closed when I got there. Generally, I would hold off until I actually visited, but there was still someone there, but she wouldn't let me purchase what I had driven some 50 miles for. If the place was closed and everyone had left, I wouldn't have a problem with it, but to turn away a customer with cash in hand doesn't make sense to me. I think I'll just order my Blenheim from the manufacturer in South Carolina instead Addendum: Since wrote a negative review, I thought that I should return when they're open. The owner, who was kind enough to reply to my review, was most gracious and helpful. I didn't order any food but bought the Blenheim I was looking for. I raised my rating to 4 stars, which is the highest I'll give a restaurant unless it's comparable to The Springs in Berkshire County, MA, or The Three Thieves in Colo. Springs.
Great food, friendly staff, hospitable atmosphereFood: 5/5
This is an outstanding local sandwich shop. Great location on the corner in Eastport. Perfect spot after a walk around to take a break and refresh. The staff are very friendly. I had the Peruvian chicken sandwich and she had the Reuben, both delicious. If in Eastport, give it a try.
Good food and a quick walk-up for a dozen of farm fresh eggs.Food: 5/5
