I love coming to this place. I’ve been going here for years and the pastries are delicious. I always want all of them. I think price point is fair. The one complaint this place gets is the service, which in my experience has been overall ok, once in a while it gets spotty. I also love the corner location of this cafe, it’s very open and has a chill vibe. I recommend this place if you have a sweet tooth.
I see that this place doesn’t exactly get the rating is deserves due to many not enjoying the hospitality that comes from this place. When it comes to their desserts everything is delicious, I can see how people could feel the service is not up to par and alot of that has to do with the fact that the family that owns this place comes from abroad and their English is not that good. If you want a high quality selection of fresh dessert you will not be disappointed coming here.
Well know Greek bakery that's been around for years. You can find most of the famous Greek deserts here like baklava, kataifi, melomakarona and Kourabiethes cookies and many more. They carry wide range of Greek and American cakes and pies. The big issue here is the customer service that's been to say it politely very poor. You might not get a warm welcome but if you are taking desserts to go then you won't mind.
Came here for sweets with a few friends! The staff was friendly and helpful since it was our fist time . The Ekmek was delicious worth a try for sure but wasn’t a fan of the orange pie cause it was way too sweet! And the galaktoboureko was a bit on the dry side. The frappe and freddo were great so overall not a bad experience.
both the owner and staffs not friendly there , cake is average. There are so many cafe not necessary take this one .Food: 4/5
The older woman who works here told my wife and I that we were not able to sit down and eat there after we spent 30 dollars on coffee and some sweets. It was our first time here and we did not see any signs posted about seeing a hostess or to have a seat and that someone would be with you. We purchased our food and drinks and went to sit down and the lady said we we’re not allowed to sit down because we had takeout even though when ordering we were not asked if we wanted take out or dine in. Overall your better off going to Martha’s down the street for better service it’s worth it. I do not recommend going here.
Racist, poor customer service and rude. The service we received was below expectations. Firstly, we placed a take-away order, but there was a mix-up with our order, and the blame was shifted onto us with a less-than-friendly attitude. This initial interaction set an uncomfortable tone for our visit. Later, as we waited outside for our friends who were joining us for dine-in, the same waitress approached us again, this time implying an additional service charge would be added to our bill. Despite our understanding, her attitude was less than professional. Furthermore, when we were handed menus and stated we weren't ready to order just yet, the response we received was unexpectedly curt. It's disheartening that our nationality seemed to be brought into the conversation, with a comment about our supposed rudeness. We felt compelled to bring our concerns to the attention of the manager. Regrettably, the manager's response was far from satisfactory, suggesting that if we weren't satisfied, we were free to leave. I'd recommend Martha's Bakery, just a block away, where we've enjoyed a much more pleasant and welcoming experience.
looks better than it is. the owner lady is racist and rude, and the desserts weren't even worth their expensive price tag. to everyone who says this place is great because they've never experienced discrimination, maybe it's because you're white? or just got lucky? just because you didn't experience something doesn't mean it didn't happen.
The manager was extremely rude and discriminating! We were an Asian family just celebrating my brother’s birthday, and the manager asked us to leave because we got our food “to-go.” And gave up our table to other guests, there were even seats available inside the store but she specifically asked us to leave. The manager said we had ordered “to-go” and wouldn’t be allowed to eat in store because it was a different price if to stay. But we had always planned on eating to stay with only ONE item to go, yet they packed all our items to go anyway. There was no proper discretion at the counter whether or not there was a difference between staying and going but we had always planned on staying yet was never informed. I completely felt discriminated and understimated, she even touched our food and packed the our food for us to leave! So rude, it was such a terrible experience.
Such a nasty place full of nasty people who shows an attitude at you on every point. I bought 4 little cakes from them and when my son got his cake and start eating his .By the time I got my first bite and realized that there is something wrong with the cake. The frosting was so dry and it taste so weird by then my son just rush to the restroom ;when he returned he mentioned to me that he just threw up and the cake tastes bad. So I just called the store to confirm that their cakes are not good and fresh and I need my refund. They straight refused to give the refund and instead asked me to bring the cakes back to the store to get the replacement. I told them that I don’t need any replacement because I can’t trust them with our health and they said if we got any past health conditions that’s not there fault. The woman whom I spoke over the phone was very rude. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone and I will never miss a chance to post my negative review about this place . Such a crazy place. Instead of giving attitude they can accept and apologize for there mistake and issue my refund. I will surely visit one last time to them again to leave their nasty cakes for their employees to eat and comment…
