Left Bank is a casual neighborhood bistro offering European-inspired food, based in the West Village in Manhattan, New York. All of the meat we serve is sustainably and humanely raised. Our meats, as well as our produce, are all sourced as locally as possible. Because of this, we have an ever-changing menu based upon what is available.

Delicious apps and entrees and an excellent happy hour to boot! Had 4 apps and the burger and a beer and wine all for only $84. The octopus was my favorite, but all were delish! And the burger was was juicy and full of flavor! Lovely service too. Definitely recommend!!
Great spot in the west village with a solid happy hour menu! $25 for pasta and a wine or any two appetizers is a great deal in this economy. Server was so kind and I really liked the overall vibe of the restaurant. Only negative for me to say was that the bolognese was super oily see photo below. The flavor of the dish was great and I ate it all, but was left with an upset stomach because of all the oil. Would come back for the appetizer deal or even the burger which looked great! They also brought out a dessert for our friends birthday - one of the best chocolate mousses I’ve had!
Great experience, simple food done well. Appetizers didn’t quite live up to expectations, but our main was enjoyable. Great wine. Dessert was decent as well. Service and atmosphere were the standouts here, would give these aspects a little more than 4 stars if I could.
Tasty!!! yummy Great joint. Best Dutch Baby we ever had. It is a must order item if you have never had it. We loved all the brunch items and came back a few days later and really enjoyed all the pastas. Here are a few photos from both visits. Will return for sure. Check out all of our reviews. Went there for the dutch baby, which they serve on the weekend for brunch. But it was burnt. Service wasn’t great tooRecommended dishesDutch Baby Pancake
We were delighted to have experienced this evening meal at Left Bank. The owner- Michelin - made sure that guests were comfortable whilst New York was experiencing tremendous heat. The meal was amazing. The wine pairing with white pasta was spot on and the grilled trout was delicious. The slow roasted chicken was melt in your mouth delicious. The dessert flan had a glaze that was delicate and tasty and chocolate is always good! Get a reservation for sure as you want to make sure you enjoy a meal whilst visiting NYC!
Food is not bad. Service is bad. The waitress served us today for brunch started with a not good attitude when ordering food. At the end, he brought us a wrong total receipt without say sorryeven the card was charged for the right amount. When we first asked for the correct total amount receipt, he first just told us the charged amount was correct for each card. After we insisted to see the total amount again, he finally brought the correct receipt and said “you see”, with no apologies. Never experienced such bad service before in a NYC restaurant.
Good food and good atmosphere. We had the avocado and eggs on bread, the salmon and egg Benedict and the Dutch baby. The food was good. Better atmosphere and more enthusiastic customer service would take it from good to great
Great west village staple, the burger is delicious with all kinds of cheese on top, would be great to have some brioche options or maybe a pretzel bun as it come in a toasted sliced rustic bread that is really good too! I cannot stop eating their fries and the special dip sauce, they follow me in my dreams. The chocolate mousse is amongst the best in New York, drinks are perfectly done and the staff is the nicest lead by the amazing Danielle. Atmosfere is warm and welcoming, feels like a friend's house, great place for a date or dinner w the group. Definitely a go.
We had our team dinner at Left Bank. The Service was very welcoming, great table outside, good atmosphere. The food was very good, great french fries with aioli sauce! Overall it’s the second time I’ve been here, and will definitely repeat.Food: 5/5
