Legacy Public Charter School is the third public charter school to open in Nampa, Idaho, using the highly-successful Harbor Method educational program. The school has been in operation since the 2011-2012 school year and is approved and authorized by the Idaho Public Charter School Commission. Legacy Charter School is a tuition-free, Idaho public charter school that has been in operation since 2011. Using the Harbor Method, it offers a complete K-8 education. The philosophy of Legacy Charter School is grounded in the belief that when there is low threat and content is highly challenging, accelerated learning takes place. Legacy’s mission is to develop students who are competent, confident, productive and responsible young adults who possess the habits, skills and attitudes to succeed in not only their K-8 years, but to do so successfully in their secondary school years and to be offered the invitation of a post-secondary education and satisfying employment. The school welcomes students of all faiths, races, abilities, ages and incomes.
