My husband had an unexpected surgery to have his gallbladder removed. The overall experience at the hospital was great. The staff - nurses, anesthesiologist and surgeon- was welcoming and friendly, helping put my husband at ease. Great attitudes! From my experience, it was well organized to follow where he was in the process and the nurse even called me after the surgery to let me know how he did and what room to meet him in as he recovered. We were pleasantly surprised!
My mother presented with symptoms of a stroke. She waited over two hours in the ER waiting room "because they were full". She finally got a bed and we went back to the ER and it was empty except for two rooms and there was literally 15 people standing or sitting around in the nurses station. Except for one nurse, the care was perfunctory and without empathy. She asked about her body cramps at least 5 times with no response. She never saw the doctor once except, he came in at the end to discharge her and talked to her for about 15 seconds. No treatment provided no diagnosis, except for "huh. that was bad". The standard of care is woefully inadequate. NEVER let the ambulance bring you to Meridian.
Unfortunately I had to visit the ER at Meridian Park Medical Center and it was such a good experience I wanted to share. They were so busy and had more and more patients coming in. The nurses and staff along with the physician were so great. They just kept moving and their attitudes were so positive. Truly they have a hard job kudos to all of them. Thanks for seeing me and getting me on my way.
Tore my own iv out of my arm and walked out because I was in the waiting room being stared at because I was transported without pants, shoes,or socks as I came in an ambulance. I was embarrassed. So I walked out. I can not believe how rude your front desk ladies were to talk to me rude after I asked for a gown. I get people are busy but just because the triage nurse decided my priority wasn’t an emergency DOES NOT mean you get to act like your patients shouldn’t even be there at all. No wonder covid spreads!
Today I was a patient at Meridian Park Imaging Department. Nurse Kathy and Angie an Imaging Technician are caring and competent professionals! As I have used this service several times previously I am very impressed by how consistent all Staff are in providing excellent service. A very welcoming smooth running highly effective Imaging Department that I trust and greatly appreciate!
My wife had a heart attack. Came to this hospital. Never met a nicer staff. Every single person who took care of us was incredibly helpful and compassionate. Every staff member was phenomenal. Strongly recommend this place.
If you can go anywhere else you should. Everytime my wife and I have gone there they never give us all the information in the findings while we're there. We have to wait for the reports on mychart. One time she was there for three days on an IV and a slough of medications. Once again given no information about what was happening, come to find out much much later after being discharged that she was going into kidney and liver failure from not being able to eat or hold water down. and they said she should just feel better after some rest. The few other times we were unlucky enough for this place to be the only realistic option, it was like being in a drive through line , just wanted to get you in and out. This place doesn't deserve your business because that's all you are is business to them.
Honestly isn't my first choice for a hospital but it's close. I've had mixed reviews of this hospital. Most of the time it seems that the staff doesn't care. However, this time I have to shotout my nurse Josh. He was very comforting, professional, and I felt like I was in good hands when I was in alot of pain. He deserves some serious recognition from whoever runs the hospital. He's a great asset!
I brought my mom to the er for sob, pressure in her chest, low 02 says and the front desk attendants were very rude and unprofessional not once did caterpillar eyelashes look up at us while checking my mom in. Atleast 3 people who arrived after us went into triage before her. Wheni went up to the desk the two front desk attendants were laughing socializing and apparently my questioninterrupted there fun because they looked at me and said yes. These two should find a job that doesn't have them dealing with sick or injured patients because they have no bedside manner. The triage nurse was great and very kind!
Took too long and one of the nurses back there in the ER was so rude I decided to leave early. Why don’t they help people walk in who are having problems walking? And there’s only a tiny parking lot if you’re trying to walk in. Your only other alternative is to call an ambulance. I had to help about three other people walk in and I had a blood clot in my leg at the time and could barely walk up there myself and all they do is just watch people in pain hobble up, collect money, and bill your insurance co. 6 hrs wait with blood clots in your legs and lungs? Seems like they don’t really care how you feel, or even if you make it to the entrance OR the exit. I’m sure they prefer the exit so at least they’ll get paid before you croak.
