When people living near the poverty level face critical civil legal issues, Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota (LSNM) provides the justice needed. Whether facing eviction or foreclosure, abused by a spouse or significant other, wrongfully denied unemployment, social security or public benefits, or understanding the meaning of court and other legal papers, the law may feel overwhelming. LSNM advises and represents people with low-incomes in civil cases critical to daily life. In 22 Northwest Minnesota counties, LSNM attorneys, and private attorneys who assist through LSNM's Judicare and Pro Bono programs, work to protect, serve and advocate for our most vulnerable neighbors—seniors, children, people with disabilities, and individuals in dire situations.
LSNM is a non-profit organization and receives funding from federal and state and private sources.
