Prescott Airport FBO
Legend Aviation is the creation and vision of two local Prescott, Arizona residents. On January 2, 2008 Legend Aviation began the operation of Prescott's first Fixed Base Operation (FBO) in the airport's storied 80-year history. Based on the belief that "an FBO, built and managed by pilots, would best understand how to support the needs of fellow aviators", customer services have excelled. With the construction of the new FBO terminal and adjoining ramp now complete, Legend Aviation is able to provide a wide array of services that benefit you, our fellow pilots, and the Prescott community as a whole.
The owners chose the company name, Legend Aviation, because it symbolizes the spirit of aviation past and present. As an example, the newly remodeled FBO terminal building was originally constructed in 1969 as the FAA Flight Service Station, which serviced the vast high desert area of Northern Arizona for many years. Echoes of the Prescott Airport's origins and of aviation history in general are displayed by drawings and paintings on the walls throughout the terminal building. The airport's original rotating beacon is displayed and memorialized at Legend Aviation commemorating the beacon's long aviation service in guiding pilots to this unique southwestern location.
