Legend Bicycle is located 1 mile off the RT195 with easy access. The prices at Legends is by the far the best cost per dollar per bike. High quality bikes and components. The special feature of Legends is it's bike repair services located on the premises. Great local bike people working on the bikes, changing tires. Most of the bikes around 25 lbs were around $600.00 - a very good deal for a light weight bike. The owner was on premise and took the time to explain each bike or what the difference was in a steel vs aluminum frame. I have returned three times to have my bike tuned up over 6 year period - it's still a great bike shop.
Folks at Legend set up my Surly Ogre for a spring ride on the C&O and GAP trails. Bike did very well, their adjustments and gear suggestions were spot on. Do yourself a favor and visit this shop with your bike needs. Do your community a favor, support local business.
Great shop. I showed up for a tubeless tire fix that turned out not to be tubeless tire at all — in under 15 mins they got me fixed right up and on my way with a truly generous lack of condescension.
I went to another bike shop in the area after a couple of my spokes broke. After telling me it would be ready "today or tomorrow" it took 2 weeks to get my bike back and cost $120; $50 more than I was quoted because they "didnt realize it was a tubeless tire" and apparently charge $50 for some sealant. After that experience I tried this this place when I needed to swap out wheels. My new wheel had the wrong brake mount, so I had to get an adapter as well as a new tire. The total cost for the tire, adapter, sealant, and labor to put it all together was $110, less than the cost of the two spokes at their competitor. Even better, they told me it would be done "this afternoon", and it was finished at the exact time they told me. I will never go anywhere else.
Snapped my bike chain so I bought a new one. I cut it to length and just couldn’t figure out how to put the quick link on because I have shaky hands. The procedure should have taken 30 seconds max. I went to see if they could fix it for me. With all my parts that I bought. He said come back in 20-30 minutes and pay 10 dollars. This is petty but I knew this would take 20 seconds so I left and came back in 5 minutes and my bike was all set in the corner. It took the guy 1 minute he lied to me to up charge me. Don’t go to these people. Terrible human being thought he could make a quick buck on a college student. Please don’t spend your money here.
Great location, more importantly the staff are super helpful. As someone still learning about bikes, I can just go to them and explain my goals and what’s currently bothering me about the rides and they take care of it
Great people, great bike map, and nice selection. They happily looked at my bike, put air in the tire, and adjusted my brake so it stopped rubbing. I really love this place and appreciate their help. I'll surely be back.
Really happy with my service! Brought in my bike for a tune-up and some modifications to make it a commuter/car-replacement-ready - and a week later I had it back with new handlebars, front basket, accessories, etc. Fair pricing and helpful but not pushy guidance. Will definitely come back oh also pick up the local bike road map when you’re there!
love this spot. they're really knowledgeable and help me get the most out of my used/vintage bike which i just use for fun/commuting. good prices and turnaround time!
Wow! Great bike shop. Had a flat and the bike tech was very friendly and helpful. Even showed me how to repair the flat myself. Found my new favorite bike shop! $17 for flat repair + tube is also a very reasonable price. Love supporting local businesses too. Win win!
