LUAG refers to itself as a "Museum Without Walls", extending throughout three campuses in the form of galleries, classrooms, outdoor sculpture, and an open-storage facility for its Teaching Collection.
The mission of Lehigh University Art Galleries-Museum Operation (LUAG) is to inspire, develop, and promote visual literacy and cultural understanding through cross-disciplinary educational opportunities that supplement formal classroom study, as an educational laboratory to benefit students, faculty, and the community-at-large as part of the university learning experience. LUAG maintains and develops the university's world-class Teaching Collection of over 14,000 objects, presenting exhibitions in galleries located throughout Lehigh's three campuses.
