We specialize in serving the needs of breastfeeding mothers in PA, NJ and NY in our nationally recognized center. Lora Steffie is a board certified nurse practitioner and Ken Toff is a board certified pediatrician and both are IBCLCs.
While breastfeeding is normal and natural, breastfeeding can also be challenging at times. That's why the Pediatricians of Children's HealthCare created, what is now known as, the Lehigh Valley Breastfeeding Center. Our goal is to support all new mothers and babies in any phase of their feeding journey. You do not need to be a patient of Children's HealthCare to schedule an appointment with any of our IBCLCs and Breastfeeding Medicine Specialists. Pediatricians, specially trained in Breastfeeding Medicine are involved in your care, so, in most cases, insurance covers your visit. A lactation visit is typically at least one hour in length and includes a full assessment and treatment plan for both mom and baby. We also offer childbirth, breastfeeding, CPR, and other prenatal classes to help prepare you for the birth of your baby.
