Beautiful, quiet, and close enough to town. A great place to park your house on wheels while you take a couple days to explore. While we were here mid july temps were mid-high 50's in the morning and near 90 in the afternoon, but 30 something % humidity and a light breeze made it near ideal for us. We were able to sit outside and enjoy listening to the birds and not fighting bugs.
Leave your mountain was pretty cool just off the freeway big places to turn around Nice people
Great place for a night or a month. Sherry the park manager is friendly, helpful, and makes your stay easy. The only place I'll stay when visiting Albuquerque.
Love this place small and quiet
Lots of long term full timers here. Laundry looks ok but haven't tried it. Showers unknown. Not a good recreational park but is decent place to be while checking. Quiet park, power water and sewer hookups adequate and easy accessibility.
This was one of the worst experiences I've had in my travel trailer. The manager was dismissive and basically unavailable when I arrived. The sewer dump froze the second night. There was no sense of urgency to fix it or move me to another spot. My neighbor camper told me the same thing had happened to him when he first arrived. I paid full price for full hookup and was unable to use the hookup for 3 out of 4 days/nights. No refund or adjustment was given or offered. I would not recommend this park
Not manicured at all.. very uninviting stepped out of RV to 2ft hi weeds, and I could practically touch the next door neighbor's slider.. .. mgr/owner was not there when checkin .. no social .. didn't get Wi-Fi for over 3 hrs after hookup. Space not very level. it's just not what the reviews or pictures shows.. was gonna stay a week, but got out next morning.. just not my cup o tea, when there are a lot more decent places for same price.. pray the owner spruces it up more to actually portray what their pics show. Sorry sherry..
I could go on and on about the HORRIFICALLY AWFUL state of the facilities! We are traveling in a small fiberglass trailer with no bathroom and 3 kids, so it is important for us to have a clean, well lit, and safe place to take our kids for a few nights. This is NOT your place if you are looking for that! To begin with, we were parked for three nights and not once were toilets cleaned or trash baskets emptied. Nor did said toilets/trash cans look at all clean when we arrived. I know, because i put a dirty diaper in the trash can the first night. Also, one of the toilets in the women’s rooms tilts dangerously over if you distribute your weight to the side at all. The other toilet kept clogging, and i would have to reach under the lid and adjust the chain. I tried at several times during the day and evening to let someone know about the semi-clogged malfunctioning toilet to no avail. I also never saw anyone in the office other than when we first checked in. And, before we checked in we were getting calls about when we were due to arrive. The management probably didn’t want to be in the office unless they had to check someone in... Anyways, to continue on about the bathrooms....I have traveled all over the world and experienced lots of cheap/shady hotel accomodations, and this place ranked closely to other third world accomodations. The bathrooms were dimly lit even during the day, and FILTHY! The showers were also DISGUSTING. Hair, pieces of soap, and bits of toilet paper littered the floor. At least the showers drained nicely. One of the facets in the sink did not. The showers also had some very dirty looking reminants of carpet outside the shower that you had to step on. I desperately tried to get my kids to wear their flip flops in the shower because it looked really unsanitary, but you know how kids can be about wet shoes and feet. I just hope they didn’t get some weird fungas from that floor! On to “unsavory characters,” that another reviewer mentioned. There is a REALLY dingy/sketchy mobile home park right next to this rv park. There is a fence falling apart dividing the two. One late night I was using the bathroom and i ran into another lady that was also in the bathroom. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw me, and just stared atme as i said hello. She was about to head into the shower. Honestly, she looked like a meth head. She had dirty, stringy, unbrushed hair, and had that distinctive homeless look that we all know, about her. I am thinking some of the mobile home park folks are making their way over to the rv park, because, the bathroom probably looks better than a meth-head’s. I started to get nervous sending my young children to the bathroom on their own, not sure what/who they would run into along the way. It’s a shame, really....The grounds of the place could be gorgeous, the location is in a great area, near hiking trails, and close to Albuquerque and all it has to offer. We were visiting family closeby, and will be visiting again, but will NEVER be staying here again. There are pricker vines everywhere, picnic tables in disrepair, and sites that are part rock and mud, and narrow and difficult to get the trailer hooked up again given the uneven ground. They need asphalt or cement pads for ease of hooking and unhooking. Stay here, if you dare!
Second time I've stayed here while working in Albuquerque. Short distance to the city, yet in the cool clean air of the mountain. Nice park and very accommodating, friendly staff - Sherry is super. This is my go-to place any time I'm working in Albuquerque.
Great amenities and access to indoor pool. Had a fun night out at the casino because the have kids quest! Great food, friendly staff and the RV park had pool tables, shuffle board, games, clean laundry facilities, dog park, shuttle service and level concrete campsites with fire pits. Couldn't ask for more!
