A wonderful, family owned restaurant. The daughter, when working, always recognizes us and remembers my son as "bread boy" and insures he always had enough bread. Can get busy which may slow service, but they're great and work hard. One of our family's favorite places in Moorpark.
Great food. Our party of eight tried several different dishes and everyone happy with their meals. We tried few dinner size salads - cashew chicken with honey mustard dressing, ahi tuna with cucumber wasabi dressing, steak salad with blue cheese...all very fresh and flavorful. Also ordered chicken parmesan, the huge pork chop over a risotto. Busy place but service still good.
Two of the items we got were really bad. Calamari had a weird texture and flavor. The fish and chips I got here has to be one of the worst fish and chips I've ever eaten. The fried bit was very hard and seemed like it had soaked up a lot of grease. The fish was mushy and did not taste very good. Service was very slowFood: 1/5
My daughter LOVED the breakfast, so on our recent trip to LA we asked for all kinds of restaurants for breakfast! This place was amazing! Portions were huge! My daughter had the chocolate chip cookie dough french toast and I had the cinnamon, honey, oatmeal coffee house pancakes. Everything was hot enough, but then again the food! I will definitely return! The coffee was a french press, very tasty!!
Comfortable homie. People are so friendly. All the patrons are regulars from the neighborhood. It's just a warm fuzzy feeling when I go in there Parking: Plenty of parking. Easy access and charging stations. Quite a few of them Kid-friendliness: Like I said it was a family type restaurant all mixed with adults and children and family's laughing. We recently moved to Simi and have been searching for great food. After stumbling upon Lemmo's, we were so happy to have found what will now be a regular spot. It is a clean and inviting place with many regulars that were very friendly. Them manager/owner, Mike, was war, friendly, and inviting. He was able to hit the perfect balance of engaging, but giving us our privacy. Now, onto the meat and potatoes, no pun intended. My wife and I shared the calamari appetizer, always a great way to judge an Italian eatery, and we were pleasantly surprised at the style. The breading was light so it didn't give you the bogged down feeling of eating fried food. The marinara dipping sauce was a rustic consistency with the rich, deep flavor you expect from home cooking. We moved onto sharing a bone in ribeye an the penne a la vodke with steak. The meat was perfectly cooked to medium rare, which we are very picky about. The steaks were well seasoned, juicy, and served hot. The penne was cooked al dente with a a sauce of nappe consistency. It had a combination of salty panchetta, sweet vodka sauce, and savory steak. We finished off with the apple pie which had a flavorful, crispy crumble that was lightly spiced with cinnamon. I would personally desire a crispier bottom shell, but my wife loved it. All in all 5 of 5 stars and we will definitely be back.
Pretty good for a first time . Parking super easy. Kind of a local joint , but vary accepting. We were welcomed favorably, it was busy but we were well taken care of. Our dinner and drinks were awesome. The wait staff is vary attentive, we were never left wanting for anything. I want to come back and try more of the awesome food and drinks as well as the wonderful service.
Stopped in for a quick bite and drink. Mike treated us like we were old friends who haven’t seen each other for years. Food was amazing and drinks cold and refreshing. Wish Lemnos was in NJ so I could enjoy the atmosphere in this great restaurant!!
Great local dinner house. Good wine menu, good food, friendly local bar. Homey restaurant. Love this place!Food: 4/5
