Our Goal is to provide health information for women, men, and children, as well as to assist people in making the most informed health care decisions.
LHRC Services/Programs provided: Exercise and nutrition classes each week; blood sugar and blood pressure checks each week; cholesterol checks every 3 months; Diabetic Support Group meetings each month; provide services for patients on Preventable Hospitalization Program; give assistance in obtaining medications from pharmaceutical companies for the under insured and uninsured; free food boxes from Clarksville Food Pantry; free diapers when available; help apply for Medicare D and Extra Help programs; health education; host Safe-T (provides services for sexual assault/domestic violence victims in Red River County) once a week; host ETCADA (East Texas Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse) once a week; host Pam Russell, LCSW, LPC counselor for Mental Health Service monthly; assist Area Agency on Aging to enroll clients in various state and federal programs; plan and participate in Senior Health Fair yearly; plan and host the Texas Scholar Reception each year for the four county schools; provide assistance with medications, utilities, and transent through the Salvation Army Clarksville unit; host and/or provide space for community health based meetings as available.
