Great park for young people. Love the beautiful walking trail around the pond!
We went to the library for the toddler storytime and had a fun time. The librarian reads books, acts out poems, and sings songs with kids, then they bring out toys and blocks for the kids to play. We checked out books from the kids section, then ventured outside to play on the playground. It was a nice little morning! Thinking about bringing lunch next time for a picnic by the lake. *The only issue I've seen was not the librarians' fault. During playtime, there's a child who hits others, snatches toys, and throws things, all while Mom is engrossed in her phone across the room. We left early today because my little one and I was annoyed.
Great library with wonderful scenic views, a trail and park! Great for kids of all ages with a story time and stay n play sessions scheduled for different age groups!
Nice location with a small lake behind it. My kids really like the AR level label on kid's books. It makes selecting an AR book much easier. Main library and other branches do not do this. This branch often has free weekend activities for kids. Before the pandemic, there was Lego activity. Now, they started to bring back new activities. This afternoon, there was Glow-in-the-Dark Geometry session which was part of the Crazy8s Club 1st - 3rd grade.

I used to buy books but now that I've rediscovered the ease and joy of the library I find authors I enjoy and discover new ones without spending as much money. I still buy books that I re-read often, but I'm more selective thanks to using the library. DVDs are also available which makes the library more valuable a tool for relaxation, entertainment and enjoyment.

Wonderful library! My absolute favorite in town! The park around it is gorgeous, peaceful and I never have any problems parking when I come here. The structure of the building is amazing and it's always so clean. So quiet as well and I love that with a library card, you can get ten free printed pages from the computer which is convenient for me since I have no printer at home. The library staff is friendly and pleasant, always smiling. I can't think of a downside here except maybe the selection of books but they can just order the book you want to be picked up from another branch in town! I don't go to any other library in town anymore unless it's necessary.
Great library surrounded by a lovely park! This is a great place to go to borrow some books. I love that they create bundles of children's books with cute themes. We like to make an adventure of it by walking the lake trail then going into the library to explore new books. Thankful to have this gem in Tallahassee to inspire our children.
