Well organized, clean, ample seating, helpful friendly staff. This library has a great selection of books for kids, but more mature/ books geared towards adults is lacking.
Small library but I'm happy it is still in my neighborhood. Nowadays it is not a lot of people read a book anymore. I'm glad there is a place I can go and have a peaceful reading moment. Looks like more staff than people who come to read, lol but it is ok. Only one thing I'm not crazy about is there are some garbage and unwanted stuff that people maybe left them outside the library for homeless and made the place looks messy.
Love this library. Usually quiet, good place to study. Has a nice little garden in the back when you want a break
Absolutely unacceptable and pathetic that this library is closing for ANOTHER 2 years after just being closed for 2 because of the pandemic. Like will it ever be opened on a normal schedule for an extended period of time ?? Get it together
It's an amazing place for kids to learn and for adolescents to play around and have the fun there meant to at there age. The staff are super nice , helpful , and all around friendly. You and your child will 100% enjoy this library it also has games on Friday for your children. In general just an amazing place
Small but comfortable. I haven’t frequented this library recently but used to enjoy going often while growing up. The selection is okay, at times disorganised, often understaffed, but has great study spaces and many tables to work.
More of a day-care center where nannys bring screaming children than a real library. Half the space is dedicated to children's books and a play area. Small selection of adult books. Most shelves half empty. It does seem to function as a good community center, but this is a library... I cannot read with screaming children. Not wheelchair accessible.
Quiet & Resourceful. The back yard has an ecological touch, vegetation and a beautiful tree .
This is more of a day care center than a library. At any given time you will hear babies crying and little kids running around while the "moms" do literally absolutely nothing about it. They should offer parenting classes downstairs while they're at it because 99% of the mothers that bring their children there are horrible, inconsiderate parents. If you are trying to go to the library to study or read in peace, the point of going to a library in the first place, don't go to this one.
I never write bad reviews, but I have no idea why this is billed as a Library. Because there's books? I have been here for 3 different days, from 10am-5pm, and throughout that time there have been at least 10-15 children running and screaming around. Right now, at 3pm, there are close to 30 toddlers and young kids in some sort of afterschool program. One is screaming, others are just yelling loudly. While I was in the bathroom, a 3 year old girl walked in mens room, yelled and then shut the light off. Which, in writing this, is hilarious, but come on. There's no peace in New York City, this should be called a daycare center, not a library : - I had better luck at the Dekalb street where at least the only thing that happene was my stuff getting stolen. Hungry Ghost coffee seems to be a middle ground, where at least the washed up hipsters are only blasting LCD soundsystem and Shins records at full volume
