After my father had passed, it was obviously a very emotional and trying time for the entire family. With so much on your mind and not really knowing the next steps, Lester H. Wedekindt was a blessing to have. The professionalism, patience, and overall thoroughness of this funeral home is outstanding. We had specifically worked with Tammy, who has helped me out tremendously even after the memorial for my father was completed, but everyone on the staff is willing and available to help with any questions and concerns. Since the very first call I made to Tammy, she clearly and concisely guided me step by step with setting up the memorial at the church, the celebration of life and luncheon, the flowers, urn selection, governmental necessities, and every other detail in between. Whenever I had a question, she answered me patiently and clearly on what was to be done. The day of the memorial, when everything seems the busiest, Lester H. Wedekindt had people on call to help assist our guests with a professionalism and efficiency that made the day go extremely smoothly. I highly recommend Lester H. Wedekindt Funeral Home and I want to personally thank the staff for their amazing work during this most difficult time.
I would like to publicly thank Tammy for all she did for me and my family. Everything was done so professionally and with great compassion. She went out of her way to remind me of things that needed to be done and gave me great advice at this difficult time. I would certainly recommend Lester H. Wedekindt Funeral Home to anyone in need of a reasonable, clean, efficient place to say good-bye to a love one.
Lester was so accommodating for my grandpa's funeral. He was kind and respectful towards my grandma and other family members and really went out of his way to host a beautiful memorial. He communicated with my grandma through the whole process and went above and beyond to make sure he received all of the credits he was owed through the VA, things that our family never would've thought of through this hard time. Would totally recommend Lester to anyone needing a funeral home for a loved one.
I would like to extend my deepest thanks to Tammy for all her help with my moms memorial. She was so kind and compassionate when dealing with me and my family. Tammy's reverence in preparing my mom made me feel like my mom was at peace being treated so respectfully. She was very knowledgable so I felt confident about decisions we made .
We would like to thank everyone who we met with and worked with during the most difficult time of the funeral for our son, Troy. Your help and kindness expressed to us during this time was a blessing and we appreciate all that you have done for us.
5 stars would be ideal here. The directors there are all phenomenal. Very helpful, friendly and sincere. However, whenever I call there the women who answer the phones for them are very rude, snappy, annoyed, and awful to talk to. Other than that, they are a great place for services. Also, they expect you to come up with thousands of dollars within 30 days and apparently will not work with you on payment arrangements at all at least according to the latest very rude woman I spoke with on the phone.
Les is great guy that will bend over backwards to accommodate you, charge you just what he needs to make ends meet, and most of all they do their work with sincere care. In my opinion, there's no better funeral home in WNY.
I am so grateful for Lester and his staff for their kindness at a most difficult time for the Sholtz family.
He went out of his way for my brothers funeral. Thank you very much for respecting my wishes. Merry Christmas and happy New Year.
