I love Lewey's. He's shortened/repaired belts; fashioned a closure, on a Coach purse, that looked original; changed the fit on a pair of boots that I had to have, but were a half size too large; and of course, repaired shoes. And, he's honest enough to tell you if he can't do something. I only hope he never retires.
Very pleasant gentleman and honest. Took in an older pair of Birkenstock sandals to see if they could be repaired. Mr Lewey advised that they were beyond their lifespan. I truly appreciated his honest assessment and will shop at his store in the future.
I was in here yesterday 12/28/2022 around 1245 pm ish to drop off a jacket to have the zipper replaced, turns out i only had to replace the slider after talking to the owner who had it fixed in 2 minutes. It cost me less than I thought and I walked out with the jacket. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs repairs to jackets. There is a minimum charge for his services and its 10 dollars.

Along with top name brand shoes for work or riding your motorcycle , he also does repairs on the shoes or any leather repairs like pants or vest can be fixed. PS . ask about his seamstress which he has on call... For all your clothing repairs..
Have always heard good things about Lewey’s and I always like supporting local businesses. I stopped in today to see if he could fix my sons cowboy boots because the sole was starting to separate. He wouldn’t even try to consider fixing them and was extremely rude. He told me without even looking at them that “ That’s the way they are made now, they are all junk”. Regardless of where we got the boots from or who made them, you don’t need to insult the customers who help keep your business open. Needless to say I will absolutely never return there or recommend his shop and I will do my best to make sure as many people as I can know how he treats his customers. Completely unnecessary.

Lewey REALLY knows his stuff and has a great knowledge for boot repair. I have yet to meet someone in the trade as helpful as him. Also one of the few Red Wing dealers around. He still resoles boots right there in the shop assuming your boot can be resoled. My go to guy for any of my boot needs. They also have a good selection of leather vest, jackets etc. Check this place out.
This is the guy that can fix most leather goods, better than new. 16 years ago new YKK zipper in leather jacket. Recently I had a zipper go bad because ankle was injured and has stayed swollen. Lewey installed a new larger zipper giving more ankle room. Beautiful stitching and workmanship. A local Marshall MI shop. Repairs, leather goods, premium shoes and boots
Leery himself is great to now. He takes great pride in what I does. He's very smart. His prices are great. You will leave with a fine fitting buy.
