Lewis-McCHORD Fire & Emergency Services operates seven fire stations. Staffed 24 hours a day by career personnel. Three stations house paramedic units to provide emergency medical services (both basic and advanced life support). Lewis-McCHORD Fire Department also provides hazardous materials response and technical rescue services. Technical rescue involves any situation where life is in danger (drowning, climbing accident, building collapse, etc.).
Lewis-McCHORD Fire Department also provides training and information to the public on fire and injury prevention, fire extinguisher usage and other safety related topics.
Protect and enhance the quality of life for every Airman, Soldier, Civilian and Family member living, working and visiting Joint Base Lewis-McChord and to safeguard Health, Safety and Welfare of the community through code enforcement, loss prevention and effective fire prevention and public education programs.
