This is a Facebook page for my my art. I paint using acrylics to create beautiful decorations, gifts, lucky charms, etc.
When I first started painting on rocks I was about 7 years old. My grandma and I used to sit at the table with all of her painting supplies out and she taught me the basics of how to paint from preparing your materials, to techniques, to clean up.
Since then I have moved a few times and fell out of painting for awhile. Last year, 2015, I got back into painting as a way to help manage some anxiety. I spent my days waking up, painting for 5-6 hours, then making dinner and spending time with family. After a couple of weeks of this, I noticed that almost every person who saw my painted rocks not only loved them, but were asking if I sold them! At this point, I hadn't even thought about selling; I was just trying to keep my anxiety under control. I spent a month or so thinking about this and putting feelers out there to see if selling these painted rocks would really work.
I was pleasantly surprised to get a lot of positive feedback! And one of my favorite things about this, other than each and every one being unique as they are all handmade, was that they can be used for so many different things! Give them as gifts with initials or special dates added to them, use them to spruce up your flower pots by added a little rabbit or frog peeking out from under the leaves, even use them as decorations for special events like a ladybug themed birthday party for a special little girl in your life. Or simply collect them!
Each rock is hand picked by me and washed before being painted with acrylic paints.
