Prior to medical school, Liam J. Hurley, MD, FACS, went to Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts, and completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1981. He then pursued his Doctor of Medicine degree at Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, and graduated in 1986. Following three years in the U.S. Navy (1987-1990), Dr. Hurley served his general surgery residency at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, a Steward Family Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, and his Urology Residency at The Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, formerly known as Lahey Clinic, in Burlington, Massachusetts (1990-1993). He is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, is Vice President of Massachusetts Association of Practicing Urologists, and is an active member of the American urological Association. As a result of his outstanding performance in the field of urology, The International Association of HealthCare Professionals (IAHCP) has selected Liam J. Hurley, MD, FACS, to be featured in the premier publication of The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Hurley was listed as one of Boston 's “Top Doctors” by Boston Magazine in 2006.
