Great museum with lots to look at and lots of history! Worth the price for sure which was only $10 a person for military families. Facility is pet friendly which is great for those traveling with theirs! We got to see the B-25 fly on the air which is definitely a once in a lifetime experience! Lots of walking though so be prepared! The diner wasn’t open when we went due to short staffing. The staff was great and knowledgeable about t everything!
The museum is awesome with a great collection of military memorabilia, and a military themed gift shop… But the real attraction is the attached Tin Goose Diner. Great food at a great price with an amazingly unique atmosphere. The menu is WWII Themed. Go for both; you won’t be disappointed !!!
Fantastic little aviation museum. Lots of restoration projects in progress. Great 1950’s historic diner ‘The Tin Goose’ was fun to eat at.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
Nice museum to visit. Great classic car collection, war memorabilia, miniature collection and lots of other odds and ends, not just aviation. Nice little restaurant inside but it is only open limited hours so if you want to stop in there check the hours. It's not just open when the museum is, even though it's attached. Two separate buildings to visit with lots to look at. A nice little place with a very reasonable admission.
This place is amazing! I drive 2 hrs. Definitely worth it! Not just aviation. All forms of military vehicles and paraphernalia.
Staff was so friendly and helpful. The museum was a 3 area tour each featuring something different. It is attached to the Tin Goose Diner which is even another experience. Totally enjoyed our day there. Would highly recommend this museum and diner to anyone.
My father in law flew in the PBY planes in World War Two and he is 98 years old. They let him tour the whole PBY plane they have inside and out and have many other planes, boats, cars, etc. It is a great place to visit.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$6–10
The young woman who sells tickets is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. It was our first time visiting this museum and we highly reccomend it to all. There is a lot to see, very interesting facts about flying to and from the Erie Islands. There is a Tri motor and so much more on display. All beautifully restored and operational. Unfortunately, the diner was not open but we will be back to eat there in the future. A must see place to visit!
What a gem in the Port Clinton area! With the friendliest staff around, this place seeks to please it's guests, knowledgeable staff, great exhibits, and well worth the money to keep this history alive. We loved that they had a focus on local aviation history as well as national. Additionally the owner has a wonderful collection of wartime tanks, jeeps, motorcycles, uniforms, and other memorabilia. While here, also eat at the attached Tin Goose Diner - one of the best restaurants in all of the Port Clinton area. We will be back, frequently.
There are so many great things to see here. The work that is going into each of the items is awesome. I had an opportunity to talk to some of the volunteers, working on a Tri-engine Ford airplane. These are always the extra special moments I enjoy, when traveling. I definitely recommend taking the time to stop in. There is also a hanger full of some really nice restored classic cars, and other types of vehicles. Of these is a 57 Chevy Belair, and classic convertible Corvette. After enjoying your time around the museum, there is an 50’s Diner, The Tin Goose Diner.
