We are an adolescent hospital offering services to children and adolescents aging 7-17 with acute mental health needs in an in-patient hospital setting.
Services Provided:
Liberty Healthcare Systems Adolescent Behavioral Health Hospital offers a therapeutic environment for adolescent patients in need of structured psychiatric treatment. We are a short-term inpatient psychiatric hospital servicing adolescents between the age of 7 and 17, with acute psychiatric disorders. Our program offers a daily schedule of therapeutic and educational activities and includes multimodal behavioral modification therapies and services. Patients receive ongoing psychiatric observation and supervision for evaluation, treatment and control of behavior to protect patients and others. Individual therapy is provided and focuses on the expression of feeling and learning problem-solving skills.

Individuals who are treated in our program may be experiencing general problems which may include but are not limited too:
Difficulty relating to authority figures
School failure or truancy
Acting out behaviors
Threatening behaviors
Running away behaviors
Self injurious behaviors
Isolation
Sadness
Substance abuse issues
Eating disorders
Depression or withdrawal
Angry outbursts or frequent tantrums
Lack of self care
Inability to relate positively to peers and peer
groups
Engaging in behaviors to disrupt an activity
Hyperactivity
Sexually acting out
Family therapy focuses on the dynamics of
family interaction to encourage an improved
family system as well as deal with conflict resolution and improved parenting skills.
Behavioral modification systems also help the adolescent identify and target behavior and treatment goals.
Program Management
Under the supervision of our Psychiatrists, the staff, consisting of Licensed Therapist Counselors, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Activity Therapist, Art Therapist, and Mental Health Technicians assist patients in identifying sources of anxiety, depression, or conflict that are impairing their ability to function. Appropriate medication management or adjustment can also be a critical component to successful treatment.
Treatment Goals:
General treatment goals include reducing one's fear/anger, learning to identify and understand one’s feelings, develop appropriate social skills and building up one's self-esteem. Our other goal is to restore the patient to their highest level of functioning in order for them to be able to return to their environment.
