The Library Foundation of Santa Monica was founded in 2015 to raise greater awareness and support for the Santa Monica Public Library. Our mission is to ensure the Library continues to evolve as the public space for culture, opportunity, and lifelong learning. We advance this mission through curating yearlong cultural programs, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation, and nurturing the ongoing engagement of the greater Santa Monica community.
The Foundation is comprised of community leaders in the fields of technology, science, entertainment, the arts, and the business world. We celebrate and believe in creating a public space that stimulates intellectual curiosity, provides free and equal access to a wide range of information and opportunities, and promotes strong and optimal community well being.
