I have had this unit for over 2 years. Great location, friendly staff and neat and clean facility. All staff have been polite and helpful on anything within their control. In particular Ty has been kind and awesome. The reason I have 3 stars is unfortunately due to rates. In June of this year my rate increased an additional $75.00 A Month. I had inquired about if there was something we could do as this is a huge increase. Just under $900.00 a year. This request was made in July. it is now almost a month later. There has been no response to my request or any reduction in rental fees. I understand costs have increased. In my opinion, this is excessive. Thank you, BJ
Great onboarding experience! Nelson and Alex were fantastic and super helpful. They answered all my questions regarding the service terms, details about the space, and more. The space is clean and it’s in a great location. Really happy to be renting space here!
This is my Second time renting at this location with no complaints. The building is nice & my things were always secure. Deasia in the office was very helpful with my last unit rental. Life Storage is a great company.
Ramona did my move-in during the early phase of the pandemic. She exercised and adhered to the CDC guidelines, remained professional as she is STILL the same during my visits. She is very sweet and patient. I had an issue with the Storage door and she came over immediately got the door opened in minutes. Nelson is a ROCKSTAR as well. In a haste, I must’ve left my storage locked closed, over the locked wasn’t. He looked me and placed a call directly to my personal line to advise me. I came over & all of my belongings were still there in tact. This facility’s bathroom is sparkling clean as I have had to use it several times to wash my face and get dressed during multiple transitions. For my fellow Prime shoppers, there’s an Amazon locker on the premises, an added bonus to this already super convenient location; purchase and store your orders in a safe, clean environment.
Deasia made this process incredibly painless and she was super helpful! She was also very diligent about watching the security cameras the entire time I was in the office. I am so thankful to have a place to store my things where the staff makes security such a high priority! Thank you Deasia!
Moved out of my unit after two years. Priced increased over two years no explanations. Excessive each time. Today I moved out and the unknown female said she would be right back and asked me to make sure it was swept and take a picture. I did what she was asked. Left no trash. I was waiting excessively too long for her to come back, and was on the phone with my wife and she came back and yelled at me because it wasn't swept out to her satisfaction. I offered to make sure it was done, and she said had too much to to deal with me. She mumbled something under breath. I told her I needed to go and signed out my rental closure, she told me that I needed to leave. Rented two years, put up with the elevator breaking all the time, and put up with sarcasm from the ever revolving staff there. Also the facility didn't ask for renter's insurance for two years before moving out. I don't know what her problem was today, but if you are that unhappy do something else. Will not rent again from Life Storage.
I stored items in the Chamblee location. They had no problem jacking up the rate by 50% or more during the 2 years I had a storage unit there. The website was useless and I usually had to pay the storage fee in person. Terrible experience. I would never recommend Life Storage to anyone ever, anywhere.
I moved out of the Public Storage facility 2 miles away on Clairmont Road because the place was overrun by RATS! It never was heated or cooled, either. Plus, they raised the rent every couple months! I had to either throw away or clean my belongings when I moved. Oh, and the bathroom was always locked. This Life Storage location in Chamblee, Georgia is clean, temperature controlled and less expensive. Finally, the bathroom is clean and never locked.
If you’re in need of a storage unit please ask for Nelson he’s your guy. He was very attentive to my needs and was given exceptional customer service. He was very professional, and knowledgeable about the product services as well.
Nelson was amazing! I forgot me key to my unit and he helped me with getting into my unit quickly along with adding an additional lock to my unit! He was quick, patient and efficient! Thank you Nelson!!!!
