Lila was first introduced to the field of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) in 2005. The joy derived from helping people build their families has inspired her professionally and personally ever since.
Before joining VM, Lila worked in the fields of adoption and fertility law. Prior to that, she worked for the State Bar of California on the important task of evaluating professional misconduct and regulating attorney licenses. She gained utmost respect for the trust clients place in their attorneys and the issues clients face when relying upon counsel to protect their interests. Her experience has made her an approachable and likeable attorney who prides herself in delivering exemplary service, ensuring a high quality product, and maintaining impeccable ethical standards.
At VM, Lila is a member of the firm's ART practice. She assists clients from diverse backgrounds, both domestically and internationally, with building their families. She has experience in egg donation and all aspects of surrogacy law, including drafting, negotiating, and finalizing contracts, establishing legal parentage, and pertinent medical insurance matters.
Lila is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the ASRM’s Legal Professionals Group, the American Bar Association ART Committee, and the Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy. She regularly attends ART conferences nationally and internationally and moderates panels on the latest advances in the field.
Lila is a compassionate and caring person who sees it as her responsibility and honor to help couples and individuals realize their dream of a family. She is a California native who is originally from Orange County and currently lives in Santa Monica with her husband. She enjoys advanced open water SCUBA diving, road/mountain biking, traveling, volunteer work, and spending time with her friends and family.
