We are located in the beautiful country just north of Valley Center in North, surrounded by Oak and Sycamore trees, ponds, and seasonal streams.

Description

We are an RV Park and & Campground catering to tent and RV campers as well as to long-term RV guests in our extended-stay area of the park. Our 55-acre property is a gorgeous North County getaway just 5 miles from Escondido.

We decided to go despite the bad reviews as it was our last option. My family and I enjoyed the weekend at this camp. Arriving on Friday Denisse was very friendly and check in was very fast and easy. The spaces are very small and there is no privacy. It was not a problem for us because we took our canopies and parked the cars to create privacy. There are a lot of RVs that are permanent, some spaces were very dirty with garbage. There were very strange people around the campground but we tried to stay in our space and mind our own business. The restrooms near the office were kept clean. There is only one shower, it has a door and hot water. Our children had fun in the pool and looking for animals in the pond. They found toads and crawl fish, and fish. They enjoyed the court for volleyball and air hockey. The only thing that is missing is that there is security during the night, cars passed very quickly and the spaces are very close to the street. Teens were driving without supervision and one of the almost got into out site. There is also no one to enforce quiet hours. Overall we had an O.K time. It is not for you if you are looking for rest, silence and privacy. If we would return just because the children enjoyed coming here.
Very pricey for a run-down campground. This place was awesome back in the day. You can tell it's been neglected. $50 for tent camping for 2 people is way too much.
This campground is very poorly maintained. There are not any directional signs so finding your spot is a scavenger hunt. The campsites are literally on top of each other, packed like sardines in a can. The camp has many long term residents whose campsites resemble that of a hoarder with broken down vehicles and campers. Our tent site was dirt on top of asphalt. As everyone knows there isn’t a way to stake a tent to asphalt, my husband had to break through it with our sludge hammer to be able to stake it down. Our fire ring was extremely dented so making a fire was difficult, and our trash can was over half full upon arrival. There are no functional family sized showers parent and a small child in the woman’s shower room with a door so my husband had to give our daughter a shower in the only larger one with a door in the men’s bathroom. The park manager came in yelling that out child can’t be in there and she needed to leave. When we explained why she was in there she said “it’s not right for him to be in there with her”, insinuating it wasn’t ok for a father to bathe his daughter, which is absolutely disgusting. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because we stayed right next to the lake and the ducks came right up to us and napped on our site and our daughter loved feeding them. We will never return and I would never recommend this to anyone.
My wife and I come here often . Very nice place. Awesome swimming pool but closes a little early 6pm. Great spot
Staying here is so peaceful and beautiful. Our wedding was perfect! The meadow of the campground was perfect for the venue. The price was awesome for what we spent on the wedding. I most definitely recommend this place for future weddings. Keep in mind, our wedding could've had a P.A. system with music, but we didn't have a DJ, because you would need a permit for that. I will remember this experience for a lifetime. We rented a trailer to have to get ready for the wedding and to stay in for a couple of nights after the wedding. The rates for campsites are inexpensive and also spaces for trailers are inexpensive as well. I'm so happy I chose this place for my wedding. I will remember this for a lifetime. Thank you Lilac Oaks RV Park And Campground, you made my dream of three perfect wedding come true.
This used to be my camping place years back. So the family wanted to come back and camp here. So we came for a couple days to camp. And the bathrooms were not as clean as before so I ask the office lady regarding the bathrooms and no toilet paper and she says she was busy basically not her problem. This was our favorite camping place sorry to say But not anymore. Hope they can treat us visitors better
Very decent pricing. Bathrooms and showers were better than expected. The pond is a nice bonus. Smells from the dumpster wafted through and the connected trailer park was somewhat loud at night. We planned to do daytime activities in the neighboring areas so overall, it wasn't bad. I'd stay again if I needed a place to crash in the area.
Pros: Beautiful duck pond, nice staff, cheap prices Cons: No sewer hookups available and while they do offer a dump station, it is locked with very limited hours. And you must get the key from an employee, which brings me to my next point: Employee keeps irregular hours and rarely answers the phone. Sign said office would be open at 8am, so I came back at 8, only to find a sign that said, be back at 2pm! I also reported their water spigot was leaking but nothing was done about it. I also requested 30 amp service, yet my space only provided 50 amp and 15 amp. Overall, I will not return. Too stressful!
Very beautiful family friendly very clean campground. Staff is very pleasant the groundskeeper keep the place tidy trash always empty and always welcoming to come we will definitely be back love the many ponds that they have and love feeding the ducks
Nice location in the midst of lots of old oak trees. They have quite a few permanent residents plus camping spots for short term. There is a small lake right near the office. The manager said they also have other lakes on the property. Fishing is $5. It is cooler and refreshing in an area that is quite dry.Service: 5/5
