The cloths are amazing but the staff is very rude and it feels they are very selective on whom they want to greet and help. I wanted to try a top and was waiting for someone to help and staff just ignored as if I was invisible. It happened more than once in this particular store. I prefer to buy online now and return via mail. It feels racist or should dress to impress to be greeted. And the other reviews say the same and at-least it makes me feel better that I am just not the one being ignored/invisible.
I usually am the type of customer who doesn't care if I'm acknowledged or not. An older blonde lady sales associate approached us right away. She was friendly and talked a lot. I had to exchange a dress I bought from online for a smaller size. She searched high and low but my dress size not in store so she had cashier order it from a Florida store. Both associates were good and respectful enough, but I could see that some clients entering were not getting acknowledged and that seems to big a big complaint in these reviews.
Trying to get an associate to acknowledge me actually turned into a game. A multitude of emails and calls to corporate customer service did not help. Nothing changed. I usually do not dress up to shop. I like to be comfortable. I thought that my appearance perhaps had something to do with being completely ignored by staff when I entered the store. So, the game began. I visited in Lilly, Versace, business attire, work out wear, Magnolia Pearl, normal jean outfit, and Johnny Was. I pushed the button on my stopwatch as I entered the store. Most times, I was in the store for 15-20 minutes without anyone even saying hello. Only once was I greeted and it was after I was in store for fifteen minutes. There did not seem to be a shortage of workers at any time, because they were visible but busy folding, straightening, hanging in the dressing room area, behind the sales counter, or gossiping behind the curtain to the steaming area. I finally had a conversation with the regional manager in December 2022 and in January the store manager joined us for coffee. Even with two managers in the store that day, associates passed by me without so much as a hello. I was assured that changes would be made but when I returned six to seven weeks later, it was all the same. It really is not asking a lot to be greeted when you enter a retail space. Either the message was not coveyed or understood because it was the same when I returned at the end of February. I met one associate the night after coffee with and she is the gold standard in terms of customer service. On my return visit, although I passed by several associates without being acknowledged, she somehow made it from behind the sales counter, through the dressing room area, spotted me and immediately said hello. They would be smart to pay her to train whatever staff they have. I will return to try on and browse but won't buy unless she is there and gets credit for it. I refuse to supplement the income of people who have no common courtesy and treat me like a leper.
Everyone was so kind!! I absolutely loved my experience at the KOP Lilly. The kind of people here are people who make Lilly my happy place. This is what Lilly is about—making everyone feel cared for and beautiful. Thank you all for all you do!!
Love the clothes but an associate said I was being paranoid for wanting my return processed before I left the store
I went to the Lilly store looking for an Edith midi dress. They were sold out, but offered to check the system. They did, and the system showed one in my size available in the south. They called that store, to see if it was there, and had them check for it physically. It was not there, they had a size lower than I needed. I was devastated, but they told me to keep checking the website, as sometimes they become available. So I did, a couple times a day, for several days. Eventually, I got lucky and was able to order one. The website said, “limited availability”, so I half expected my order to get cancelled, but I just got the shipping notice! I wouldn’t have kept checking the website if the employees hadn’t told me to. They were very VERY helpful in my quest for this dress.
My fiancée loves this store. Every year I get her a gift card and accompany her to try on clothes. The staff are always nice and patient with trying on different sizes. They are always polite with me when I am buying gifts clueless I might add. Thank you for all your help!
Wow! Thank you so much to the Lilly team that helped me out today! they all were hands on in helping me find the perfect fit for my body type were honest about what they felt best suited me they really have such a great team on their hands helped me with sizing as this was my first time here! I left with a dress i felt very confident in. The experience you get here and the confidence i feel in my new dress was well worth the money i will definitely be returning! Thank you to all the lovely ladies that helped me today you made my first experience at Lilly great!
Anika is amazing! I needed the Heidi Maxi for my baby shower on Sunday the 12th. I had placed an order online Monday the 6th, when the dress was released online but it still hadn’t shipped by Thursday the 9th. I was so worried I wouldn’t have the dress in time and had been checking my email non stop to see if it shipped. I was so upset I was willing to drive 3 hours to pick the dress up in store. Anika took care of shipping it out right away for me from the store and even overnighted it to me to make sure I had it in time! I so very much appreciate the sweet card and it means so much! Thank you so much to the King of Prussia store and Anika for making my whole week!
If u want to be ignored then this store should be the best place to visit in KOP mall . I usually go during Christmas time to get gifts .In None of the visits the staffs ve been nicer . The manager was about to greet and went back seeing me . I took two wallets and asked for the gift boxes usually they wrap it and the cashier told she didn’t ve any and would wrap it in a bag . Then I asked for two bags she told she can’t give then I told to return one Cz I can’t just gift it with plain pink wrap . All r very rude there . All People should be welcoming irrespective of what they get and how they look . Nordstrom is so welcoming .
