Mission Statement
Lima Christian Nursery School was established in 1964 as an outreach of the Lima United Methodist Church, to serve families in our community. The school provides a safe environment for young children, promoting Christian values.
The mission of L.C.N.S. is to love, care for, nurture and share with all the children and their families. The children learn through the use of art projects, songs, stories, and games. Indoor and outdoor play is encouraged. The main focus is on social development; learning to make new friends, caring about and sharing with one another, and establishing good life coping skills.
We place a strong emphasis on service-oriented events, believing that it is important to encourage our children to care for the world around them. Through active participation in these activities, our goal is not only to prepare the children for the next step in their education, but also to start them on the road to a lifetime of kindness towards, and support of others.
Lima Christian Nursery School is committed to each child’s success in learning within a caring, responsive, and safe environment that is free from discrimination, violence and bullying. Bullying in any form by anyone connected to our school will not be tolerated.
