Lima Township is a civil township of Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the township population was 3,307.GeographyAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 91.2km2, of which 89.4km2 is land and 1.7km2, or 1.90%, is water.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 3,224 people, 1,168 households, and 954 families residing in the township. The population density was 89.0 per square mile (34.4/km²). There were 1,198 housing units at an average density of 33.1 per square mile (12.8/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.55% White, 0.37% African American, 0.22% Native American, 0.59% Asian, 0.22% from other races, and 1.05% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.90% of the population.There were 1,168 households out of which 37.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 72.1% were married couples living together, 6.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.3% were non-families. 15.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.76 and the average family size was 3.06.
