We wore checking with my husband parks nearby so I can walk with baby in stroller with some nice nature and asphalt sidewalks. But this park I wouldn't call the park, it's too small for a park but still nice. It is probably nicer during summer with greens and flowers; it has a bird watch, lake. It also has recycling bins.
Great place to visit, not a whole lot of traffic and the few trails that are there are groomed really well.
Beautiful place to visit and enjoy the wildlife
Small but nice place just to sit and be in nature for a few.
City of Alabaster has huge recycle bins there. We take all our plastic, aluminum and paper there. Also great area for birdwatching
Nothing special, but it is a quiet place to eat lunch.
A fun and easy birding destination. We have seen many species here. Bald eagles, swamp sparrows, ibis, warblers of many kinds. There’s an observation platform with ramp access. It can be muddy when it rains so wear good boots. It’s just a 20 minute drive south from Birmingham
Good for birding. A work in progress. Not the most peaceful patk... They have a wooden walkway and observation area next to wetland. Native plants have been planted to encourage native species. Noisy due to model airplane club sharing the space. But they were there first. There is also a police shooting range and city garbage truck parking recently approved there.
This is a somewhat hard to find little gem of a park on the outskirts of Alabaster the most conservative city in Alabama. Nice for watching the egrets, herons and other large birds who make the place a home for themselves. Not much else to do except watch the model airplane club fly their airplanes.
We visit Limestone Park about every other week to take our recyclables. It is a very nice park and we would like to check out the bird walk sometime.
