Run! Do not park your car or plane here. The manager Tom is completely insane. After a year of parking there we showed up one day and he had changed our parking arrangement, without notice. When we called and asked for notification moving forward if things were changed he literally lost his mind. No joke, the man has borderline personality disorder. We had to be nice until we found an alternative solution. Thank goodness we did, as we were about to give notice he called to say we had 30 days and needed to be out because we weren’t supposed to be parking there. He was doing it behind the owners back.. Long story short, he was trying to hide that he parks other vehicles besides planes there as he works towards his FAA compliance. Tenants beware, he doesn’t honor agreements in place, acts like a complete psycho and tries to raise rent without notice.
We were a tenant for over a year, paying our bills three months in advance. He changed our parking arrangement without notice and when I questioned the manager about why he did it without notice he acted like a complete psycho and threatened to raise our rent. He also bragged about how he blocks peoples property in so that they can’t get to it when he doesn’t like them. Do yourself a favor, find parking elsewhere.
My son is taking flying lessons and loving every second of it. Everyone we have met there has been a pleasure to deal with especially Ryan his instructor.
Sunset pub always a great time. We sat at the bar , watched the Yankees and listened to a great love band. Lana was a great bartender
This was the first time I've eaten out since quarantine. The staff was friendly, efficient and conscientious about safety guidelines. I was reassured and relaxed knowing the staff was properly trained. The burgers and shrimp tacos wr great. Best shrimp tacos I've had. Will definitely return with friends!
Great little airport with a terrific restaurant Sunset Pub and Grill, a flight school Aero Safety Training, and two helicopter schools Garden State, King. Untowered with self-serve 100LL and JetA on the opposite side of the runway from the schools/restaurants. Ample tie down space and hangars. Runway 01/19 recently July 2020 resealed and painted. Large displaced threshold approaching Runway 01 because of trees at the end, but manageable. Easy to get an Uber or taxi but you will need them to get to the nearest train and bus stations if going to/from NYC.
Have not been in 20 years but when I was a kid it was a great place learning to fly and meeting fun people and catching a bit to eat. In a life deprived of happiness this is my happy place I want my ashes scattered here when I die. I pray it still stands for my death.
Lovely place to watch planes take off and land up close. Also a nice restaurant here with outdoor seating that is always busy. Never ate there but I plan to.
First timer to the resturant. It was a very pleasant meal. Watching planes come and go was a wonderful backdrop
Having a burger & beer while dining outside at Sunset Pub watching the planes take off & land with my family. It doesn't get any better than that for me.
