I brought my stepson to school recently. The first time i had. We were greeted at the front door by a very kind and informative woman. We sat in the main roomfor a few minutes and i thought it was set up well, even having a sign for the first day of school the kids could stand by for pictures. Walking to his classroom I got to see alot, he is waaaaaayyyyy at the end of the hallshousewares? I liked the reading area right on the side of the hall and all the decorations on the floors that were both fun and educational. Finally, we arrived at the room he would spend much of his week in. The teacher was kind and was able to answer all my questions; breakfast is bought to the room, mats or blankets are needed for naptime, they have their own locker inside the room, and more. We talked about how we should be incorporating learning in exciting ways at home. Then my stepson told me it was time to go. Back by the front door I found some brochures that were informative, asked that nice lady who greeted us a few things, and was off to my car. I will need to experience much more as I bring him or speak to his teacher, see more rooms, etc. But he likes it.
