Lindenwood University has offered graduate education classes in southwest Missouri since 2000. Classes leading to master's, specialist, and doctoral degrees are offered at 13 different sites in the area. Hundreds of educators in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas have earned their graduate degrees from Lindenwood. Many of the teachers, counselors, principals and superintendents in area schools are LU grads. Lindenwood produces more school administrators than any institution in the state!
Our southwest Missouri offices are located at 909 E. Republic Road, Suite C100 Springfield, MO 65804. Access is from Republic Road across from Twin Oaks Golf Course. The building fronts James River and signage is visible from there. Our location has classrooms, offices, a computer lab, a research library, and a large meeting room.
We have five full time employees: Dr. Terry Reid, Director of Graduate Education; Dr. Dennis Cooper, Supervisor of Educational Leadership Programs; Dr. Sherry DeVore, Supervisor of Graduate Research; Dr. Kathy Grover, Research Specialist; and, Mrs. Linda Brown, Site Coordinator. We employ 50-60 practicing area educators each semester who teach classes in general education, curriculum and instruction, counseling, higher education, and school and educational administration.
Lindenwood-SWMO stresses practical, flexible graduate education for professional educators. Classes are taught by practitioners with “real world” experience. Our students enjoy the convenience of attending class one night each week without having to drive several hours. Many of our classes are hybrid, partially seated, partially online. All of our programs are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Associations of Colleges and Schools, and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Lindenwood’s School of Education is accredited by CAEP (formerly NCATE).

OTC-Springfield, OTC-Richwood Valley, OTC-Table Rock, Ozark, Hollister, Forsyth, Willard, Neosho, West Plains, Aurora, and Poplar Bluff.
