I belong to the M'boro writer's group and appreciate the library! We meet every Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. in the conference room next to the elevator. The second floor has printers, so we can buy our copies, send work to Google docs, and compose on the computers if we like. The librarian staff are helpful and send new writers to join our band of merry scribblers.
We love this library for so many reasons! Clean, quiet, & great selection of material. Staff are friendly and helpful. Plus, the meeting rooms are super useful for our Academy sessions. Highly recommend taking the kids here and making use of all the public services!
Awesome kids section, open area with rocking chairs, great for little ones learning to walk and explore.
My 4 yr old and I thoroughly enjoy this library. They provide plenty of activities, and the facility is always clean and well organized. We also love our librarians.
I will absolutely not support a library system that bans books. This "decency ordinance" and policing which books, as a public library, you offer to the community is out of control. The Library Board members should strongly take into consideration the American Library Association's ALA stance on the censorship of library materials at their August 28th meeting. The ALA's stance being that they strongly condemn the acts of censorship. As a PUBLIC library system, you should be committed to defending the constitutional rights of all individuals, of all ages, to use the resources and services of libraries, and champion and defend the freedom to speak, the freedom to publish, and the freedom to read, as promised by the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. This includes offering books you may not think are appropriate for some, but could absolutely be appropriate for others. The Rutherford County Library System must stop this oppressive nonsense and allow their citizens to choose what books are and are not "decent" for themselves.
It's horrible to think that at a place of learning and growth, common social acceptance of decency and of worth would be rejected and relegated to obscurity. Shame on you Linebaugh Public Library for banning books. History will not reflect kindly back on to you. We are all watching.
After the old white lady left, and the short black girl left it's pretty cool. Old white guy with a ponytail always stays #1 customer service. The women are attractive too and have a thing for snowbunnies anyway. A couple I would've flirted but not go get specific about it. Some be in my dreams thinking "should I ask and take a L? Or am I tweekin?" But it's a cool chill spot sometimes the women be bad too. Only 2 books I would read but that's it, anything else is not important. The female librarians know the blue eye I give them . In the end, I think some of the librarians want to ask me out got to be the 5%, but some will take initiative and some know dayvon wont say too much but will look at you with his blue eyes. Cool chill place too, but in every job it's always beef. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the librarians get to fighting or shooting
Staff is helpful and courteous. The library is clean and well organized. Checkout is easy and automated.
Come join us @Limbaugh Public Library every Saturday morning for the Street Church service. Starts @ 8am with breakfast to follow.
Lots of stuff for all ages. Story time, tablets, computers, Lego, comic books, free lunches during the summer, bookstore. Friendly staff, too. Highly recommend!
