Here's a great location that makes you feel as if you're on your own slice of paradise so close to home. Great camping area and if you're backpacking, you can't beat this stopover on the way to Two Harbors. The sites here are well spaced so you don't feel like you're on top of your neighbors. There's a fire pit, grill, picnic table and steel container you can use for storage. Porta potties on site as well. Campsites are just a short walk to the beach and you can enjoy great sunset views. If you're into fishing, bring along your pole and you might get a bite! Make sure to call ahead to order firewood so it can be delivered to your campsite. Highly recommend if you're ever in Catalina.
Beautiful oasis-like campground. There is fresh water spicket at every campsite, cold showers spots scattered around, and well-kept porty-potties. This site was wet for us; there is a moisture layer that hit at night. Some sites are not in perfectly level ground so becareful. There are sharks and stingrays in the water. I have seen bison walk through the campground at night or early morning. Restrooms: Portable potty
Not an easy hike in, but passable for anyone that hikes a bit. Worth it though with nice views over the transcatalina trail and nice campsites available at Two HarborsPublic restrooms: YesPicnic tables: YesBarbecue grills: Yes
Stayed here on the 2nd night / 3 during my catalina trail hike. Super pretty campgrounds, the beach is awesome. Climbing the rock for sunset is a must.
You can get to this campground by backpacking over land, walking the dirt road or shuttle; there is a truck service to carry your packs and coolers for a small fee; lots of hiking trails; nice camping area for tents; port-a-potties; beach was nice, water was cold end of May; water is available; we took a ferry to Two Harbors; six mile hike to the campground; the town has a great general store with stove fuel.
My favorite place! I came here 3 times for camping. Beautiful sunset, Amazing water, very enjoyed got so much fun, make me happy and calm.. So happy thing is I will back next month! See you again little harbor
A beautiful setting with nice amenities including ample food storage lockers to prevent animals from getting at them, potable water, shade, and toilets portable toilets on little Harbor side; composting toilets on shark harbor side.
Wow, beautiful campground in a perfect spot. We stayed here while hiking the TCT and were not disappointed in the least. There were two resident bison and lots of foxes. Watch your food and the foxes aren't scared of you at all. The sunset was spectacular from the beach.
This is one of my favorite campgrounds on all of Catalina Island. It is a small beach cover located on the backsidewest of the island. It is a beautiful place where you can camp beach front! You can watch the sunset over the ocean and then build a fire and view the stars on a clear night. It is not the easiest camorgound to access but it is well worth it. The easiest way to access it would be a 5.5 uphill hike from Two Harbors. Again, well worth it in my opinion. Running water, cold showers, outhouse toilets.
Best spot on this island. Well worth the hike. I can confirm there were some funny locals.
