Little Red Caboose Sandwich Shop

This is easily one of the best Hot Dog joints in Forsyth County, alongside Kermit's. The Restaurant is unique for utilizing old railroad equipment, specifically an ex-Southern Railroad Caboose as the kitchen, and a Boxcar used as a Dining Area. Granted, the Boxcar does make the dining area a tad cramped, but that shouldn't deter you away from the restaurant, because that is more than made up by having some of the best hot dogs in Winston-Salem.

Prices are waaayyy to high for just two hot dogs literally. Two fries and two drinks I would not recommend at all for $17. Do not go there customer service is trash. I mean you could have AT LEAST given quality customer service.

Never thought in a million years id be giving the place I loved as a kid 1 star for poor customer service. We showed up with enough time before close and because we wanted a chicken sandwich we were told to go up the road as someone who has worked in the industry for 9+ years this was extremely disappointing and wish I got to tell customers that working for the places I worked for instead I either served the guest or I was fired, even if they showed up 1 min before close which No, we did not do. We showed up with a little over half an hr still to go and literally wanted 2 things ill no longer be recommending this place unfortunately, since making certain menu items is too much trouble. Dont want to be an inconvenience ‍

I have always lived this place. The best hot dog I've ever had. Just a little hole in the wall but definitely worth the stop. Everything is always fresh you will never get old or cold fries. Friendly service.

Best hot dogs ever. Been eating here for 25 plus years and prices have gone up but the quality of food has stayed the same. Parking: You can park and eat in your car.

Wow! I mean wow absolutely delicious food you wouldn’t think it but it is my first time and wonderful crew on shift super nice and the food was off the hook compliments to the chef

The stars don't go high enough for the great tasting food. Atmosphere is dull and small inside. Outside accommodations are available. Best hamburger and hot dog I ever eat. Sweet tea is great. Staff is friendly and helpful.
